Awesome worked perfectly, on Alpamayo Peru summit

Bought this for simple spring mountaineering as a beginner. It’s easy enough to use and has worked for my purposes. I wanted a strap on style so it would work with both my mountaineering boots and my ski touring boots. I would recommend getting a crampon bag for them, though. The points are sharp and will definitely poke holes in your pack/jacket/stuff.

I wore these on a hiking trip this winter which included 4 summits over 4000' in the Adirondacks. They worked well for open face summits that were ice covered and too much for micro spikes. I wear a size 11.5 so I had to order the extra length center bar so they would fit my boots. Black Diamond should offer more than one size to avoid paying for additional center bar. Not for technical ice climbing. Happy hiking!

Bought these crampons for a 4 day trip into Wyoming and was very impressed. Great general purpose crampons. Easy to put on and fairly light weight. Would definitely recommend

Pretty straight forward crampon, no frillz, they just work great. basic high alpine glacier travel. They don't come with a sharp point on them, might want to give them a tune out of the gate. But exactly what I was expecting and worked perfect. No heal slipping, flexible enough for a decent stiff boot. Great Crampon

I purchased these crampons for climbing Mt. Shasta in northern CA. They were easy to use and fit my boots well! Were definitely necessary.

I buy this crampon for early season trekking in Iceland and will tour a glacier somewhere. I don't want a heavy mountaineering boots but I hope to have a durable crampon. BD Contact Strap let me feel reliable, I don't worry about the cramps will be broken in the field. I like it really light and the strap is easier to use than my old Grivel crampon.

Just a great crampon! Straps to any boot probably a gym shoe as well! Used them on Rainier.. Solid!! Try sliding these on heal first. I’m used to toe first with the full automatics of course these are different. I find it easier heal first then pull the front strap up over the toe.

Strong a** steel, comfortable fit, gotta love the curve on them too makes them easier to put on when the altitudes got your brain turned to mush.

I used the crampon last weekend on a good 40 + degree snow/ice cover angle and they preformed like I have come to except of Black Diamond products very good. One thing to remember with crampons is to try them on before you need them and cut back the unused straps.

I bought these for a mountain goat hunt in SE Alaska this fall. We weren't allowed to leave the skiff without wearing them due to the wet, icy mountain slopes. I was able to traverse the mountain, get my goat and make it back safely which I'm sure I wouldn't have without these Black Diamond Crampons. I highly recommend this product to anyone who values their life.
