Great Pad, Could Use A Better Valve

Overall a great pad. It is so comfortable and I felt like it was the right balance between weight and R value. I am bringing it on the Colorado Trail this summer. However, this spring while I have been playing around with it, I've noticed that it's quite difficult to get to deflate the entire way with the valve system that is in place. I feel like this would be a very easy fix to change the valve to something like the Sea to Summit Aeros pillow, where there are two levels to the valve. One for inflation and one for deflation. I anticipate being frustrated on my thru-hike with this pad's deflation in the mornings, but will still bring it. Even bought a FlexTail Zero Pump to try to make deflation easier. Still running into the same problem.

Light, Small, And Comfortable

Light enough for backpacking and comfortable enough for car camping (although for the car I’ll usually opt for something that’s easier/quicker to blow up)

Comfortable For Side Sleepers

After 15 years and three thru hikes using the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite, I decided to try something new and picked up the Big Agnes Zoom UL Insulated (mostly because I side sleep and wanted more loft). I took it out for its first overnight this weekend, and I’m genuinely impressed. The included UL inflation bag makes inflation incredibly fast and I really appreciate that it keeps moisture out of the pad (a huge improvement over blowing directly into a pad, which led to mold issues in all three of my old NeoAir's.) The extra thickness is exactly what I needed for a comfortable side sleep. Temperatures dropped to around 3°C, and the insulation performed well, adding warmth. In the morning it deflated quickly, packed down small, and fit easily into my saddlebags while bikepacking. My only complaint would be that it is has a very slippery surface in combination with my sleeping bag :) Overall, an excellent first impression and I'm excited to use it backpacking, paddleboard camping, and bikepacking this summer. I would say this is a strong alternative for anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable insulated pad.

Best Tent Sleep Of My Life

This pad is incredible, it is insulated without being too hot for 3 season use, the side version is wide enough i haven't fallen off of it even when rolling around. I use this for 30 and below canoe camping as well and it keeps me plenty warm from the ground. Two of them can be a little tight in a two person backpacking tent.

Arizona Workhorse

I have been bikepacking in the Arizona desert for the past 6 years and have had many issues with pads wearing out from constant rubbing and the many thorns we encounter. This pad has held up amazingly well! It also packs very small, is easy to inflate with the included inflation system. This pad is for those who want to travel fast and light but also have a good comfortable pad.

Bummer……one Valve

I just received this cool looking orange pad. Packs up really small and very lightweight . But the downside is the one valve. Very very time consuming to deflate!!! Will be returning. Sorry Big Agnes i always thought you were ahead of the game. Guess i will stick with my 6oz heavier rapid

Pleased With My Purchase

The Big Agnes Zoom UL Insulated sleeping pad is an excellent choice for anyone who values comfort without sacrificing pack weight. It's impressively light and compact, yet provides a warm and supportive night's sleep thanks to its high R-value and insulated construction. The surface feels stable and quiet, and the larger outer chambers do a great job of keeping you centered through the night. Setup is quick, I use a small battery inflator instead of the full sack, and it packs down smaller than a water bottle. Overall, the Zoom UL Insulated is a top-tier pad for backpackers and thru-hikers who want premium comfort in an ultralight design.

Light

light pad that is warm. i like the inflation bag. i have taken this car camping, in the white mtns, and the continental divide. one small leak but i sealed with seam grip

Comfortable Yet Small And Light

I wanted to get a pad that was wide enough so my elbows don't fall off pad sleeping on my back and small and light similar to my current ultralight mummy style pad. Zoom UL check all the boxes for use in everything but the coldest winter objectives. Pros: comfortable for sleeping on back and side, warm, quiet, small, light. Cons: a bit tricky to inflate without a pump, difficult to fully deflate, requires a specific process to deflate and roll up/pack. For these reasons it got 4 stars.

Ultralight & Comfortable For Backcountry

Product is very light and packs down. Upgraded from my last Big Agnes UL sleeping pad and this model is comfier and doesn't squeak when I move around. Plus it comes with an air bag to inflate. Love it for backpacking!!!

Extremely Comfortable

I have taken it backpacking multiple times, it has held up very well and adds a great deal of comfort over traditional sleeping pads

Perfect

Great sleeping mat. A little noisy, but definitely not as loud as some of them out there. I would not hesitate to buy again

Fits Torchlite Xp Youth Sleeping Bag

This mat is perfect to slip into the Torchlight exp youth 20 sleeping bag. Both the bag and mat did their job, keeping my son in one spot and warm. I asked him if his bag was cold, and he said no. We were in about 35-degree nights.

I Love This Sleeping Pad

I love this sleeping pad. It is super light and comfortable. The bag inflator is fairly easy to use and while it may not be faster it is sure nice not having to blow it up by mouth. I haven't tried sleeping on snow yet, but it was pretty warm in cold weather.

Received incentive

Thank You For The Replacement

I am happy that the pad is lighter than my old one. It is not as "quiet" as my old one was, because it does not have the cloth like covering. But I'll trade that for the lighter weight. I wish the pad had the quick deflating outlet. Its a pain to roll and press the valve at the same time. I also would like to win the sweepstakes!!!
