Very Warm And Comfortable

This bag is really warm. On my last trip, temps got into the low 40's and I slept with it unzipped down to my waist. I've used it down to about 28 degrees and been toasty. The pillow pocket is handy and my pillow seems to stay under my head even when I switch sides. My only complaints are that it leaks down and the zipper snags if I'm not careful. I'll have to see if the down issue persists after washing it.

Nice, Comfortable, And Warm Sleeping Bag

This is a warm and comfortable sleeping bag. I sleep on my side, and I love that this is designed for that. It is worth mentioning that this sleeping bag is quite big when packed into its stuff sack, but it still compresses a bit when it's in a backpack or pannier.

Really Nice For Side Sleepers

I own the 2022 version. This is a good overall bag that has the added convenience of being designed for side sleepers. The main advantage of this design, in my opinion, is that you can toss and turn from side to side and the zipper is always accessible. It packs pretty small. I put it in my 14L Revelate Terrapin seat bag and can still fit a couple dinners, my Nanopuff, snacks, toiletries, and a few odds and ends. I've haven't had to push the temp limits of the bag, but it's been warm enough for me in high 30s weather. (I sleep cold and wear my medium weight wool base layers.) The Sidewinder does leak down more than any other down bag I've owned. But I think this is mostly annoying (down feathers in the tent) and hasn't significantly compromised the warmth of the bag.

Yes

The zipper did break right away but was repaired for a cost

Great Bag!

I have always been a side-sleeper and really appreciate the attention to detail with this product. I just used it on a 2 night/3 day trek. On the last morning, I woke to snow and frost on my tent fly. Yet, I was warm and comfy. This is a great product.

Good Sleeping Bag

One of the fantastic things about this bag for side sleepers is the dimensions. It's roomy at the shoulders and then tapers down to the feet. The other side sleeping bag I have is unnecessarily wide at the bottom around the knees and feet, which adds weight and creates cold spots. The other fantastic thing about this bag is the side sideways hood. Not so fantastic things: 1) the zipper. Snags all the time. Really irritating. Make it stop. 2) it leaks feathers. It's not down. It's the feathers with quills. Try not to pull them out. I pulled one out one time and a little puff of down came out with it. I'm not sure it's really a problem since it's not the down coming out, but It's weird to wake up to feathers all over the tent.

I Would Recommend This Product

I got to try last night. really like the bag. nice and comfortable, and roomy plus I'm a big guy so I really appreciate the room. Can't wait to use it again.

Great Bag For Those Cold Nights.

Used this on an overnight trip on the AT. Temps dipped into the 20s and the wind was brutal. First, it's advertised as a 20 degree bag. Right on the money, it got down to 24 with a stiff 15 mph wind. Never got a chill. Second, I've got some healthy shoulders and can zip this bag completely up. Only bag over been able to. Only draw back was feather loss on my sleeping pad.

Love This Sleeping Bag

Used this bag for two 8 day trips through Desolation/Grey Canyon on the Green River, Utah. I was extremely warm every night with temps in the low 40's. The material and shape of the bag was very comfortable and the pillow barn was a great addition. As a big time side-sleeper it was amazing to have a sleeping bag that was made for me. No more uncomfortable nights rolling around in a traditional mummy bag.

Excellent Bag!

Worked great for my Bike packing trip! Be careful cutting the tags off! I accidently cut the bag before I even got a chance to use it :(

Comfortable

Finally got to use this weekend. Very comfortable and wide in the hips, makes shifting around a breeze.

Loving It

Loving it ! After a couple of camp outs can only say great first impression. Packs small and great to sleep comfortable. My only suggestion for hikers is to get a smaller sack if you want to pack it tighter. There is room to pack smaller vs the factory sack.

Warm And Light

Bought this to replace a very old backpacking bag. It's kept me super warm at a fraction of the weight. I still haven't really mastered the zipping for side sleeping, but I haven't had any difficulty making it work.

Good Bag With A Couple Of Drawbacks

I use this bag for bikepacking. It packed decently small and it competitively light for the price point. With a compression sack I can fit it in my Revelate Terrapin seat bag along with food, a jacket and some other odds and ends. The side sleeping specificity of this bag is a nice feature. And the temp rating seems accurate. The two things I don't like about this bag are 1) The zipper gets stuck way more than my other bags and 2) It loses down quite easily, more than my other down bags. Always a fair amount of it in the tent after using it.

Love The Side Sleeper!

This sleeping bag is great b/c I'm a side sleeper and there's extra room for my broad shoulders! It's also nice and light for my backpacking adventures! Great buy!
