I love this chair it is super comfortable. This is the second one that I purchased. It's super light, super easy to set up, and super comfortable. It packs away very small, has it's own case which is nice when packed doesn't snag on anything. I'm 5'7 225 and it is a perfect fit for me. I've taken it on several backpacking trips and it always seems to be the chair that everybody wants to sit in. Purchased this one for my wife, her previous pack chair failed and we decided this would be a great time to upgrade for her. She was a little apprehensive at first due to the price. But you get what you pay for, mine is several years old and still going strong looks brand new and is my favorite camping chair. They go with us from backpacking to car camping this is just an awesome chair.

The BA Mica Basin may not be a UL chair for backpacking, but it is more than light enough to justify the extra weight if you are a little bigger than your average hiker. I am 6'3" 220 lbs and have tried all of the popular UL chairs. While I am technically under the recommended weight for all of them, none of them feel comfortably sturdy. The Mica Basin does!

Bought as a gift for my boyfriend and it's just what he was looking for. He was very particular about the base connection points not having plastic that could crack. The chair is decently lightweight for how durable and strong it is.

We love these chairs, easy to stow in our van, easy to assemble and break down. Comfortable to sit in, and our Great Danes love the fact we are eye level with them.

This chair is AMAZING!!! Pure luxury in the outdoors. Beats my Lazyboy recliner at home by a long shot. The supple nylon fabric feels amazing against my skin. Next time I go backpacking I’m thinking on leaving my tent at home and just sleep in the chair. Lol. Seriously though. Yeah it’s a good chair. About as comfortable as a backpacking chair can be and still be relatively light weight. I think it’s just under 2 lbs. Feels pretty solid and well made. To be honest though I don’t take it very often. Only when I’m going to be camping in one spot for multiple days. I do love that it packs down pretty small and doesn’t take up much room.

Small enough to fit in a backpack, but big enough to fit my larger size frame. Quite comfy for its small size. It was great for my last trip that required me to take all of my car camping items in a suitcase in a checked bag.

I bought this for some night photography. I needed it to be lightweight to fit in my photo backpack pocket. With a little practice I could set it up quickly in the dark. I’m a hefty 230 pounds and it was sturdy and comfortable. Amazing chair for its small package size.

We use this chair sitting outside our. Newly built tiny house down here in southwest Utah. It is way comfortable and is just the right height off the ground.

Light, sturdy, and compact. This chair is a little larger, making more comfortable for some of us healthier sized adventurers. Feels stable and comfortable, yet packs small enough for kayak touring/camping.

Awesome chair, strong, light, good functionality, sits higher off the floor than many light chairs. If your hoping for a bright, Alpenglow looking, lit from within golden yellow color as it appears online, you will be disappointed; it’s a bog standard (kind of dull) orange.

This was my one luxury item on a 115 mile hike on the AT and it was worth carrying every ounce!!! Extremely comfortable and very easy to assemble/pack. Highly recommend to those hikers who tire of the endless log-sitting butt bug bites!!!

I have yet to take this out on a trail and use it in the wild (due to recent unfortunate worldly circumstances), but sitting in it and assembling/disassembling it, it's simple to use. it doesn't sit as low as other chairs and it supports me very well (6'0", 180lbs). Very comfy and stable.

bought 2 to backcountry backpack and camp in the Teton's in Aug. After 6 hrs and 3200ft elevation gain they we're a welcomed addition to our campsite. Easy pack, assemble/disassemble and very light weight. We had 70 liter packs and stayed 4 days and 3 night and still has room for these chairs. I'd buy them again!

The Mica Basin is only 8 oz heavier than the Skyline UL, it's essentially the same packed size, but the seat is an inch higher and an inch wider. It's also built more robustly. But there aren't a ton of reviews because the Skyline UL gets all the attention. So here is my review: it's great! More color choices than just black or yellow, really comfy for long sits, is a good fit for both kids and large adults, super easy to assemble, all around a great lightweight chair.
