I used this backpacking the High Sierra Trail and it was perfect, especially in the buggy sections. I easily set it up in the dark and the shorter poles fit easily in my pack.

Magic Shelter

I have had the 1-person version of this tent since before it was released and it has been a super dependable, excellent partner on a wide spectrum of adventures. From solo multiday bikepacking, to packrafting, to mixed discipline 3rd season adventures. My Copper Spur has proven itself. The only thing I wish was different was its capacity. So adding a larger tent made sense for when my adventures aren't solo. The 3-person is almost the same size and weight packed as the 2-person and only slightly larger than my 1-person. But when set up, it is super spacious. It is like some magical origami shape. Seems like it bends the laws of physics. But it is the same durable, functional, and good looking copper spur with wool for 2-3.

Big Agnes Is Very Light But Extremely Fragile

Two tents in a row ripped zippers fabric failed and they would warranty even within a year. Hard pass

Spacious And Comfortable

Recently tested out for the first time on a several day ADV motorcycle trip. Very easy setup and packed down small. I really liked the short poles as the fit in my motorcycle luggage or panniers. I did purchase the footprint to go with it and I'm glad ai did. The tent floor seemed like sharp rocks could damage over time. Plenty of room for gear and a second person if desired. Dried quick as well from overnight dew.

First Lightweight Tent

I love it. It's high quality, seemingly durable, very compact and lightweight, intuitive to use, and easy to pack to my bike. As of now, I can't find any complaints.

Solid Balance Between Lightweight And Space!

I selected this tent to have extra space while backpacking with the wife and dog. Though I haven't bikepacked with it yet, the design features have come in handy for drying wet gear. I thought the vestibule space would be a little larger to accommodate bikes but it is a little tight. The two zippers on the vestibule doors make adding a canopy using trekking poles easy. I will certainly be utilizing this tent for a majority of my family's future adventures!

Fantastic Investment

it's durable, spacious, and light. I've used it for bike packing, backpacking, and regular camping. it has excelled in all the things - I have the tarp that goes with it and having that while setting up in the rain was immensely useful because I can set the fly up before the tent allowing the main parts (and me) to stay dry while setting up. it's so spacious for 1 person, good enough for 2 people. the number of compartments and pockets make organization so nice and accessible. from cold 25F with wind to warm and humid 80F 80% humidity, this thing excels at so much.

Good Tent - Too Many Bells And Whistles.

I've used this tent 45 night, mostly bike packing. It's nice and light and durable enough. the gear loft and interior pockets are nice and I like the way the fly has so many options. I found the gear stash loops on top, and the helmet holder unnecessary. I also got the non bikepacking footprint based on reviews and im happy with that choice. Overall super happy with the purchase and my wife is too. The 3 person is nice and spacious for two.

Everything I Hoped For And More!

Big Agnes has really delivered with this freestanding tent. The color coded parts, ease of set up and packability are all things I was looking for in my next bikepacking tent. I had my sights set on the UL2 (2-person version) but I was seduced by the incredible Expert Voice sale on the 3-person version. I love space and this is the biggest, yet smallest packed size tent I have ever owned. I love that you can pitch in various configurations with a ground sheet and even break down the interior under the fly if you're in less desirable weather. I just took it up in Tillamook State Forest here in Oregon for a bikepacking overnighter and could not have been happier to have it.

I bought this version for backpacking with my family instead of the traditional version because I liked that it has shorter poles so the packed size is no wider than my backpack. Also, it has extra straps and loops built in making it easy to secure to my pack. First use was very easy to figure out how to assemble as everything is color coded. I had to set the temt up in windy, rainy conditions and broke it down in the snow. I would definitely add additional/ longer stakes but overall very pleased with how the tent performed and packed.

Lightweight, Spacious, And Versatile!

I'm so happy with the weight, spaciousness, and packability of this tent, especially for a three person. It packs small enough to fit between my Ritchy Venturemax bars for bikepacking and I appreciate the durable fabric and daisy chains built into the stuff sack that make it easy to attach to my Salsa Anything Cradle. I have a Fly Creek UL2 that's about 10 years old now and still going strong that I will use as a solo backpacking or as a 2-person ultralight set up, but I will definitely be using this tent for any backpacking trips with 2-3 people moving forward!

A Great Bikepacking Tent

Easily packable, super lightweight and setup is a breeze. I opted for the 3 person tent for a little extra space on rainy days. Plenty of room to sit up and space to store gear and to dry critical clothing. My typical trips are 1 to 5 nights in the Northeast US.
