Old Salt Quality Has Fallen Off In A Big Way!

I have been fishing Old Salt cast nets for nearly 30 years 6’, 3/8” mesh. When one would wear out from holes and hard use, I’d replace it with another one. Quality was always good and consistent. Until I bought a new one last year. Something has happened. This net isn’t anywhere near the quality of previous Old Salt cast nets over the years. Aside from the feel of the net being completely different in terms of the amount of webbing, in one year’s time the swivel is terribly rusted and parts crumbling off of it. Until recently, my rating would be 5 all day long, but today’s Old Salts, not worthy of one star. ⭐️
