I just assumed these knives were made in USA partially because of the high price point, and also the quality. But the quality isn’t what I remember 10 years ago. What is going on?

Received Used Item

The item I received was clearly used or returned. Factory tape was slit. The blade had an imperfect center. The flip action was far too loose for a brand new Benchmade. Dick's accepted the return without hassle.
