I bought this rope for an Indian Creek trip, which we had to cancel because of COVID-19. Instead we used it for casual multipitches at the Gunks. It is somewhat heavier than my other ropes, but it's not bad for a 9.4mm 70m. It feels nice when belaying. Very nice color, but middle mark can be difficult to find. It was very stiff out of the box (despite numerous flakes). Mammut's 3D lap coiling is definitely superior. A 9.4mm 70m rope is a great purchase from any manufacturer, but Beal seems to have done a nice job with this one overall.

I just used this rope and it's light, moves through the belay device really well and nice to rapell on! It coils well and I love the color!!!!

I love this rope. Bought it about a month ago. Took it to HCR in Jasper Arkansas. I love that it’s 70 m but totally not bulky Bc it’s 9.4 mm. I’m used to climbing w thicker ropes, so at first the belaying a heavier person situation was a little weird to get used to. But as long as you belay with good technique, it is fine. I treat this rope like it’s my freaking child. Ok that’s all :)

Used this rope (golden dry version) for all of my larger outings this past season and I have to say...this is now my favorite rope for Alpine missions and long free climbs. It's lightweight nature and smooth action make for an awesome handling rope that won't break your back when lugging it way into the back country. The sheath has held up incredibly well for it's size. Very impressed!
