Backpacker’s Pantry Pad Thai is my go to for dehydrated food. It comes with lime powder, peanuts, peanut butter and spicy sriracha. After 20 mile days on the trail, I need a big meal that’s going to refuel my carbs and protein, but also taste amazing. It’s also so lightweight, every ounce counts! I hope they never stop making it.

I've had this a handful of times on national parks trips, and it's hands down the best backpacking meal I've every had. It comes with a small peanut butter packet, seasoning, peanuts and powdered lime. Really hits the spot after a long day on the trail!

This Pad Thia come with all the fixing, including lime powder, chili powder and peanut. The chili powder gives the freedom to make it more or less spicy, which I really appreciated out on the mountains. It did not use too much water and was easy to make. I would defiantly buy this product again.

If I had been on the trail for a few weeks this probably would have gotten 5 stars, but since I was just lazy and used it while car-camping, it gets three, since my comparison to fresh food was more recent. My only suggestion would be to use slightly less water than they suggested, as it came out a bit soupy. Flavor was pretty good, though.

Bought to taste test for upcoming hiking/kayaking season. Impressed it has all organic ingredients! I would prefer a little more peanut/Thai taste but nonetheless I was happily impressed! This will definitely get packed!

My son and I agree that the Pad Thai was our favorite meal on our last 3-day trip. The peanuts were a nice touch along with the peanut sauce. However, the sauce was thick and difficult to remove from the small package--we added a little heat and massage the second time around.

I was somewhat skeptical about this but decided to try it and I was not disappointed. It cooked according to the directions and tasted fabulous. A little pricey but worth it for the wait and the taste.

almost, but not quite as tasty as the real thing. Was a poor substitute for pad thai. If you're looking for a new meal to try skip this one.

Very good. Take it everytime we go backpacking on the AT. One of our favorites.

I bought the Pad Thai to try something new on the trail. After packing out eight miles (a trial trail run) it was time for supper. I popped the bag open followed the instructions and chowed down... Then a strange thing happened. I had leftovers. Since I was heading back to the car I decided to reseal the bag put it in a ziploc and hold onto it. Usually a two serving pouch is just about one meal for me after a good hike. This two serving pouch was closer to one and a half meals. My only real gripe was the number of small plastic bags contained within the main pouch. Not a huge burden to pack out a little bit of extra trash but it means I prob will save this for a end of hike meal.Overall I would suggest giving this a try if you are looking for something different than beef stew or the various incarnations of mac and cheese.

This goes for nearly all of Backpacker's Pantry meals: half the sodium and twice the calories of Mountain House dehydrated meals. Three to five times the dietary fiber of MH meals and 0% cholesterol. More calories equates to more energy in a hiking/backpacking/survival situation and at the same price as Mountain House entrees, Backpacker's Pantry value can't be beat. I found my new brand of backpacking meals.

I am a fan of Pad Thai, and while I did not expect a whole lot from a freeze dried version, I thought I would try it out on a recent Cub Scout campout. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and it tasted quite good. I will buy it again.

Ease of preparation and low weight of product made it ideal for backpacking. Filling meal at the end of a long day of hiking.

After 12 miles on the trail I was looking for something filling and tasty. The Pad Thai by Backpacker's Pantry fit the bill. With claims of enough for 2 servings I was hoping that this would be enough to satisfy my appetite. It was. That was a relief as other dehydrated meals have come up short in the past. Taste wasn't bad either. I won't stop dining out with this product but I will consider it on other backpacking trips.

I usually feast on pasta primavera from Mountain House and was unsure about trying another brand. As a vegetarian, there are not many commercial options for prepared backpacking food for me. This was a nice change, though too much in quantity for one 115lb person. It was also low on salt, but fine in every other way.
