So Comfortable

I got the Sylan about a year ago, and I always struggled with knee pain when running, deterring me from really getting into it. When I started running with the Sylans, I didn't feel it at all, and the rocker sole style really helped me be comfortable when running. Now, they're the only running shoe I own, and I love them so much!!

I Became A Runner This Summer

I had never fully gotten into running this year and decided to sign up for the Seek the Peak event running from the ocean to the peak of Grouse. My trainer suggested these shoes and I was so happy with them for pavement and trail. I was using a more flat footed shoes before and the 'rocker' style sole changed the how I was running. My knees never hurt and I found these incredibly comfortable - used them everyday to train!

Light And Comfy

Lightweight, breathable, high-cushion running shoe with a comfortable gaiter. Runs fairly big, so I went down a half size for the right fit. The toe box is wide for my feet, but the ankle is narrow and fits snug. I love these shoes for trail running in warm to hot weather.

Setting Prs In Pink

These shoes feel so different due to the rocker bottom, but I am loving it! It really does feel like the shoe is asking you to keep running. I've only tackled more technical terrain twice, and I was fearful for rolling my ankle due to the stack height, but this has yet to happen and the shoe did feel stable underfoot. It has been comfortable so far for <10 mile runs on mostly trail and minimal pavement. Did take a few runs to break in. I got my true size. It did feel a bit big at first, like it Is sized to be a half size bigger as that can be recommended with running shoes. I'm happy with the feel and don't feel the need to get a half size down, although I think that would work for my foot as well. I've set a few PRs since wearing this shoe, but not sure if that's the shoe or if my fitness is just improving lol. Definite keeper for me!

Great

Great traction and fit. comfortable to run in. The toe box is wide enough for my wide feet. They are pretty water repellent.

Good Uphill, Fast Downhill

I bought the Sylan shoe for day hiking, and it has good grip, is super light, and I appreciate the built-in sock to prevent debris. However, be careful going downhill. The shoes’ curved bottom makes it easy to go too fast!

Perfect For The Trail!

I loved the breathable design, tucked in shoelaces, and the rocket/solitude color pop. The Sylan made me feel light and springy. They run a little big, so maybe get a half size down. I normally get an 8.5 but opted for the 8.perfect fit. Absolutely recommend these shoes for the trail!

Great Every Day Running Shoe

Arc'teryx has really stepped up their shoe game. I run every day, ranging between one mile and 30+ miles and these are a great shoe in the rotation for all distances. The slight curve on the bottom paired with some stiffness, makes it a fast shoe, without being an all out race shoe. We don't have much trail running where I live, so these end up being used on the pavement a lot and they work well for that as well. The toe box is roomier than comparable brands. The fit snug around the ankle and mid foot.

Really Wanted To Love These But Not For Me

I’ve tried many arcteryx styles. I have a joint with some arthritis so I was really hopeful that the break-over on these would make them perfect. Unfortunately, while the breakover, width of the toe box, materials and color are great, for me there isn’t enough support in the heel and the mid section rocker area leaves lots of extra material that couldn’t be tightened up. Darn. Will have to just stick with my Norvans. Really wish Arcteryx would add more supportive insoles in all their shoes!

Like Walking On A Cloud

Beautiful, functional, comfortable, and versatile shoe!! I have worn these a hand full of times and can already tell these will quickly become my favorite. I got the pink color combination and I am obsessed!

Amazing Support And Comfort

Admittedly I am in a niche market- arthritis in big toes and history of plantar fasciitis. For more "normal" running shoes I add arch support and a carbon fiber plate to prevent flexing at the big toes. These shoes need very little modification and they have immediately rocketed to the most favored spot in my rotation for anything off-pavement. Super comfy, supportive, and really well-made. Like my old Norvan LD3s the lace garage is a great feature. I've found Arc'teryx shoes run large generally. I wear a 6 in street shoes, 6.5 in other runners, and a 5.5 for the Norvan and Sylans. There is ample room for foot swelling even sized down. Cannot speak to durability yet as they are still fairly new, but I am impressed with the build and materials.

Great Shoe - Can Really Feel The Propulsion

Super excited to try out the Sylan trail running shoe - Arcteryx designed the midsole of these shoes to give you an extra boost as you run. At first I thought I wouldn't like it - but I genuinely feel the lift and push I'm getting with each stride. The shoes didn't need any break in period, and were really comfortable on trail. These do run a little long. I am usually a size 8.5 and I probably should have gotten a size 8 in the Sylans.
