Long Arms Approve!

I’m LOVING this jacket! The fit is perfect, even for my long arms. Plenty of room for an extra layer underneath without being too baggy. It’s perfectly warm but breathable. I plan on wearing it skate skiing this winter on cold and snowy days, or on any active adventure in cold weather. I’m 5’9”, 155 lbs, ordered size M. The only critique I have is that the front chest pocket is a little small.

Durability

I use the Gamma MX hooded jacket for ice climbing, so I wanted to get one for my girlfriend. She loved the MX jacket. It was warm and durable. I like the jacket so much that I have a hooded one for ice climbing and a non-hooded one for traveling.

Perfect Winter Alpine Sport Outer Jacket

This is the perfect winter alpine sport jacket.My primary use for it is ice climbing - it serves as the only shell I need (unless it's pouring rain) - and keeps the wind out while still allowing for breathability. The soft shell material allows for full mobility and I haven't had any issues while ice climbing. I'm so happy this jacket exists because ice climbing in a Beta or other hard shell is just so uncomfortable. the Gamma MX is also incredibly durable - I've rubbed it up on rock, ice, my ice tools - without having any tears. My only complaint is I wish it came in more bright colors :) .

Fantastic Softshell

Perfect softshell. Nice stretch/mobility without the crinkle of a hardshell. Water resistance is sufficient to keep you dry through prolonged drizzle. Fleece lining is soft and adds to the overall warmth without losing breathability. Storm Hood fits over hats to create a cozy, high utility jacket. Only critique, which is a personal preference, is that the jacket were 2 inches longer in the back to ensure no water gets in between the jacket and pants when you bend over.

Favorite Running Jacket For Winter/spring

This strikes the perfect balance of warmth & breathability for cold-weather runs. The chest pocket is big enough to fit a cellphone + credit cards. LOVE that all of the pockets are also lined. The Soulsonic purple gets so many compliments.

Gamma Mx Jacket - Women’s

Perfect fit with a base and Alpha Direct mid layer. Hiked 7 hours in a mix of light snow, freezing rain and wind in the mid to low 20s (F). Stayed comfy the whole day. Not much room for additional layers underneath, but I could layer a jacket over the top if needed.

Gamma Hoody - Holding Out For Gamma Jacket.

Well as much as I want to give it 5 stars .. I returned the hoody jacket. My old Gamma LW was perfect but no hoody. I understand they are cutting a no hoody jacket for later this spring so I decide to wait for that version from the Gamma group. Other than that, great looking jacket, nice fit but just too much hoody action for me.

Great Material

I've been wearing the Gamma line of pants for almost a year now, from the summer weight LT to the medium weight AR to the winter weight MX. Each performs well and fits me perfectly. They are cut to move and are durable and warm when warranted. I decided to add a Gamma MX Hoody to the mix, since the winter-weight MX pants worked so well for me. I haven't had a chance to test the jacket yet, as it's still warm here, but I'm excited to have it ready to go. I purchased an Atom LT Hoody at the same time, thinking I could layer the two when it gets super cold outside and I wasn't super active, and they do layer well. Not a ton of extra room when I have both on, but comfortable enough to move. I love having the options and also think the Gamma MX will work well on its own.
