I am ordering my 4th pair of these shoes. I have a very wide toe box and a normal heel and a super high arch. So most wide shoes are too big in the back for me. These are perfect. I am on my feet 8hrs a day and I am no spring chicken, these shoes do it for me, I put in my arch support inserts, and I am good all day

I've tried the newer Altras and they JUST ARE NOT THE SAME as these. I have plantar fibromas and have to wear shoes like these all the time, even to work. The black on black are the only ones that are appropriate. The bright, gaudy colors of almost all your other shoes are just not work appropriate and none of them help my plantar fibromas like this version. Since I haven't been able to get my size in the solid black for quite a while, I had to start buying another brand I don't like as much. Please bring them back in all sizes. Look at all these reviews asking you to keep making this version. You were on to a good thing here. Why stop it?

There is no other shoe out there like this one. It helps with my plantar fasciitis

I cannot say enough about this shoe it’s so comfortable to run , walk or just stand around in. My knees and legs never hurt in them and I feel like I can go to the ends of the earth wearing them! Life changing I cannot express and they are extremely roomy and just the cushion in them in fantastic. I have two pairs and need to get another. I hope that you will not discontinue them. I started wearing Altra about 5 or 6 years ago and I haven’t worn anything else since!

These shoes have fantastic cushion for people who do a lot of standing and walking on the job. The durability of the top part of the shoe has also improved greatly over the years. I rarely even think of my feet at work as I put on over 10,000 steps a day, which says a lot about these shoes. My only complaints are that the cushion and material inside the heel did not stand up well to everyday use. The treads on the bottom of the shoe could also be more durable, wearing smooth faster than I would have liked. I have always appreciated the wider toe box and the part of the shoe that flexes since I have a slight tailor’s bunion. Because of this, Altra has been my go to shoe for almost 10 years. Recently, I have noticed that they have started to narrow the toe box and the flexing part of their shoes. This particular model has been discontinued and as I have searched for a replacement, I have not been successful in finding a Altra replacement that does not hurt my feet when trying them on in the store. My heels swim in the wide versions of shoes I used to happily wear in the standard width. There are plenty of narrow shoes in the market for people who prefer a narrower shoe and it makes me sad that I have had to start looking elsewhere to find a replacement

This was great for my foot post ORIF surgery on my midfoot, very cushy and the rocker sole helps to provide support to my ankle and for rounding out my foot to complete a step. Also great for my custom insoles. The cloth inners behind/on the side of the heel, however, got torn to SHREDS with normal wear. The color on the sole began to peel off before I even wore it for the first time. The soles have started to wear down quickly and I only purchased these in February. It’s a great shoe. But for how pricy it is, why wouldn’t it be more sturdy and hold up to just normal wear? I don’t run in these (can’t run yet still recovering) and I don’t walk crazy lengths. Just everyday wear and it’s gotten torn up this bad. Never had this experience even in the cheapest of shoes. I’d buy again because no other shoe fits or works for my neuropathy and midfoot injury. The toe box is roomier than any other brand and this model is great for PWB/FWB after injury. But I would consider other models if you plan on getting a shoe that actually withstands normal wear.

This is my first zero drop shoe and it helped my plantar fasciitis 100%. The cushioning and the upper mesh accommodates any bunion flare up I have. I can’t say enough good things…I am very disappointed these are being discontinued, I have tried on the new replacements for these and unfortunately they irritate my bunion…I will have to find some other Altra models to replace these when they wear out

My first zero drop shoe, it was just what I needed for my plantar fasciitis. I am disappointed that these are being discontinued…however, I will try to save up for one more pair before they are out of stock. After that I still plan to explore more zero drop shoes from Altra :)

Absolutely love the Via Olympus 2. Ashamed to say how many pairs I've purchased. Tried another style of Altras, wore them on the trail, got them wet, ran in them, and the heels were slipping. Sent them back at around 22 days and Altra didn't bat an eye and my money was refunded the day they received the shoes. Great shoes, great company. Only suggestion I would make is to stop the constant churning of styles. I know the big shoe companies change styles every year, usually to the disappointment of fans of the style. Maybe just add new styles and keep your great sellers the way they are? Oh, and people constantly ask me what brand they are because they love the toe box, and so do I

The VIA Olympus 2 is my soul shoe, I hope it is never discontinued. The combination of zero drop, high cushion, wide toe box, and overall volume in this shoe provide superior pain relief for accessory navicular syndrome. I absolutely depend on this shoe to get through 12 hour nursing shifts without excruciating pain. No other shoe or custom orthotic comes close to the gift of pain relief that this shoe has given me since it was released. The new FWD VIA 2s offer a completely different set of characteristics that just do not provide the same magical comfort and pain relief.

Excellent width for my wide foot. Toe box was roomy and yet it doesn't look weird or too big. The shoes rocks a little to give a little spring in step. It is cushioned and offers stability too. I used to wear saucony, brooks, Hoka but these shoes are better for me. I tried a newer version of this but I do not like them

I have an achilles injury and my foot doctor recommended these Olympus 2's with 0 drop, as well as Hoka Bondi, and after wearing both for a year I prefer my Altras! Both have the highest comfort level, but the roomy toe box is a game changer for me. I now feel too squished in my Hokas. I've probably put hundreds of miles on my Altras now and they are finally starting to wear just a bit. My doctor says you should replace your walking shoes every 1. 5 years or so. I will be ordering a new pair soon!

new to running but i’ve been wearing zero drops shoes daily for several years. this is my first pair of zero drop, wide toe box running shoes and i love them. i have to fiddle with the laces sometimes but so far (5 or 6 runs and a dozen or so walks in), i’m happy with them. i think i would prefer less arch support - my feet aren’t used to it after not having any for years, but so far haven’t had any issues. all that said - these shoes fixed the knee pain i was having while running in conventional narrow running shoes!

I loved the first pair so I got this “newer” model of the same shoe and 25 miles in, they already have a wear hole in the heel! :( not worth the money

I bought this at the start of the summer and past the return date so I’m stuck with these. They have a nice box wide toe. But towards the rear of the shoe near the arch is not wide. So the shoe digs in so to say to the side of my foot. I’ve worn these about five times and plan to give them away because they are so bad. Very disappointed since I have another shoe from this company same size and all that fit great.
