Timp 6 - Great For Trail And Hiking

I love my Torin 8 for running, and bought the Timp 6 for a trip out to Glacier National Park. They feel pretty similar in the materials and fit, and I really enjoy wearing both of them. The Timp are a little shorter than the Torin, and I got a little rubbing on my right heel while hiking, but no blisters. I do think this difference in fit was probably due to altitude-related swelling, and after loosening the laces, the shoes fit great and were super supportive on longer hikes (10-ish miles per day). The taupe/ tan color did show the red dirt, but I was able to vacuum them to clean the upper and a damp cloth to clean the soles. My sisters both bought Timp shoes for the trip (one got the Timp 5 and the other got the TImp 6), and we all were very happy with the performance on the trail.

Squishy Mess

These felt really squishy and soft in the midfoot, like they had zero structure and gave zero return. I did an 18 mile run and my arch was killing me partway through. I really liked the 5's, so I guess I'll stock up on those and hope the next version is better

Loved The 5, Theses Make Blisters :(

I've worn these for 19 miles total, all for mostly short hikes. The last two times I noticed the right shoe was rubbing painfully on my heel, and now I've got a blister. The sad thing is that I LOVE the Timp 5s, and wear them regularly on my long runs. Whatever they did to the heel on the 6 just isn't working for me. Also, less importantly, the gator attachment point on the front of the shoe is no longer metal, now it's a slit in the fabric. It is SO much harder to use now, I really don't like the change!
