I’m so sad these don’t fit like my other Altra shoes (which I love so much). I tried them on and immediately noticed that the outer side of the shoe feels much narrower, especially for a shoe advertised as having a “roomy toe box. ” The shoes are incredibly comfortable to walk in, and technically, there is plenty of room in the toe box. The quality also looks and feels great. However, the overall fit feels noticeably narrower and more snug compared to my other pair of Altras. They just don’t have the same roomy feel I’ve come to expect from the brand, which unfortunately means I’ll be returning them. 😢

If you're accustomed to the original fit with with roomy toe box then you won't like this one. The fit was too tight for me. I will still keep the shoe because I love everything else about them. They just aren't my favorite Altras.

I've had it with Altra. It's definitely a love hate relationship. I love a shoe, they change it,I hate the shoe! It happened with the Torin and now the Experience Flow. I loved my first pair, Being a 1/2 marathon runner I wore them out. I bought a second pair to keep on hand so I was ready when the first pair wore out. By then the changed to experience flow 2. I just unboxed the shoes and have worn them for my last few long runs and they are nothing like the first ones. The toe box is much narrower to the point my toes are rubbing (this has never happended), the tongue of the shoe is so "fat" the shoelaces are too short, and and I'm getting knee and hip pain (which I never have!) Unfortunately, I can't return them as I bought them months before I needed them. Altra you are not consistent with your product and therefore, I'm out! Back to Hokas!

Horrible! Agree with what others said about the tougher and front fabric part of the shoe being extremely low. Never in my life have i experienced that with another shoe. It’s super uncomfortable. Returning immediately

I have to agree with the others on this one! The original Experience Flow shoe was sooo good. They were my first experience with Altras and I loved them from day 1. I finally wore them into the ground and needed to purchase a new pair, so I went with the Flow 2s thinking they would be the same, but sadly they are not at all. The Experience Flow 2s are significantly narrower in the toe box and have an overall tighter fit to them. I have narrow feet, so when a shoe that's marketed to have a wide toe box feels tight on me, that's a problem. I wish Altra would listen to their customers and bring back the original style.

I am a loyal Altra customer. But mostly purchase shoes from other sites or my local running store because the Altra website is a pain! For whatever reason, I often cannot scroll to see all the sizes. For example, I just put a pair of Lone Peaks in my cart (I appreciate the discount!), but I was not able to slide down to my size (9. 5 for running). I had to guess where it was and then confirm in my cart that I got it right. Thanks for listening.

I've been using this shoe for the last few weeks mostly as a gym shoe (HIIT, cardio, etc) but have also run and walked in them a little bit. It seems to perform well for these different movement types. The wide toe box leading back to the snug heel works well for my foot.

I was walking around Boston and had blisters , went to Dicks to get new shoes! Found these and they were so comfortable, I didn’t even feel the blisters! There was a long delay to get shoes to try on though, so that was the only negative

Bought these for Chicago Marathon training. Have been running in the original Experience Flow and these, so far, are great. I like the updated lacing system. Good cushion, good toe box room. If you like the original you will like these as well.

This is the lightest shoe I have ever worn. Super comfy and the 4mm drop is the best!! If you have thought about trying an Altra but thought they looked funny with the no drop - this will change your mind. This is more narrow but wide enough for your toes to spread out!
