This Is The Widest??

The fit is really weird — I wear a 8. 5 Wide in torins, always have been, but had to downsize in LP9 because they’re weirdly long. Even though it’s billed as their widest shoes, these don’t work for my wide feet (esp at the midfoot). I tried different types of lacing but that made the shoe loose in general and i twisted a couple of ankles as a result. Really wished Altra would just go back to making shoes that work for wide feet…

Outstanding Trail Running Shoes!

I am 6’2” with athletic build and I’ve always had issues finding trail runners with a good fit. I tried the Lone Peak trail runners because I was so happy with the performance of my Altra Escalantes and I am very happy with them! Fit and toe-box are great. Less cramped feeling in the balls of my feet or excess chaffing from my toes being crammed together. Tread pattern is great over grass trail, gravel, hard packed dirt, and wet or dry conditions. Ventilation is superb even with the water proof version of the shoe. Very satisfied, will buy again.

The Altra Lone Peak Is

The Altra Lone Peak is the one shoe that can come in a wide size, and provide a comfy toe box and zero drop. I had surgery on my big toe joint some months back, and this is all I want to wear now. I even purchased the hiking boot version for when I'm hunting/hiking.

Versatile Shoe

These shoes have a great design and are very comfortable. Tread seem solid and has good grip in a variety of conditions. They have the famed Altra wide toe box, but do seem to run about 1/2 size large. The upper seems durable, but time will tell.

Fantastic Shoes, Helped With Plantar Fasciitis.

First off I am not a runner. I found a YouTube video on plantar fasciitis recommending these shoes as helping with transitioning to zero drop. They absolutely did that. Now I did other things too, like exercises, massages, e. t. c. But they were key in helping me get rid of plantar fasciitis for sure. Zero drop and feet not being squeezed tight was very key. I take long hikes on dusty trails with them (this the dirt in the picture). I have had them for 18 months now. I wear them every where all the time. Grocery runs, movies, concerts, basically if I leave the house I am wearing them. I walk a lot these days as my main low intensity cardio. And despite the wear shown in the photos they still feel great. My favorite shoe ever in terms of feel and effect, and how long they have lasted. Thank you, Altra, I will be buying more. I wear size 12 and they felt perfect in that size.

Awesome Shoes, Better Colors!

The LP seem to improve every year. I'm loving the new colors. I messaged a few times to bring back the tan/orange combo that I loved in the LP6 and after a few years the color combo is back and better than ever in the LP9! Keep up the great work, these shoes rock.

Great Toe Box Fit

These fit my fore foot making theme comfortable and a pleasure to wear. I credit this to the toe box. It is in the shape of our fore foot. In addition, they are well thought. They are well built for lots of use. The traction is exceptional.

Good Shoe For Big Feet

I wear size 15 men's. Limited variety of shoes with sufficient toe box room so I appreciate the lone peak 9. Only drawback for me is they could fit a bit snugger in the heel but I have not had any rubbing problem. Have the mid height too, recommend both. Very comfortable, sufficient ground feel.

I Own 3 Pair

These are my do everything shoes, daily walking, hiking, etc. Everything but the gym (I have the FWD Via 2 for that). My orthotics fit perfectly, and the wide toe box means no blisters, which is important as a diabetic. Cushioning is just enough. The zero drop and and good ground feel helps tremendously with balance.

Received incentive

Solid

Solid as usual. Wide toe box. Plush zero drop shoe.

Comfortable With Virtually No Break In Period

I’m a huge fan of Alta Shoes. I use the Torin for running and I loved the cyad for an everyday shoe. I wish they would bring the Cyad back only with a more durable sole. This shoe is pretty much true to standard size and has room for an orthotic which I use. It has great support and is very comfortable with lots of toe space. My feet are arthritic so this helps. Great shoe in general!!

This Shoe Won't Die

Over the past year I've worn the same pair for roughly a dozen Spartan/ Tough Mudder races, one of which being a 50k. These shoes have been through almost every terrain and weather condition imaginable and it feels like there's still so much life left in them. Altra needs to change nothing about this shoe

5-star Product On All Levels

Exceeded my expectations in every way. Durability is fantastic. tread wear is even and lasted almost a full year of wearing 5-7x weekly. Buying my 2nd pair today.

Annoying

My lone peak 4s are great, but I hate this website

Disappointing Edition

I have been wearing the Lone Peak exclusively since 2. 5. 10,000+ trail miles. Each edition has had its hits and misses but I have always loved them. I do understand that you can't please everyone every time but the 9 and even the 9+ are not for hiking. So sloppy. I slide around in the shoe due to the loose mid foot and strange heel fit. I feel myself clenching my toes so as not to walk out of them on even slightly challenging terrain. I see the same complaint on line frequently so I am not alone. Also a very hot shoe. I get that durability is more of an issue as the shoe becomes more expensive but please help with the 10. I don't want to switch brand. I miss Golden.
