Fwd Via 2 Left Shoe Pronates Foot Inwards

I have 4 FWD VIA running shoes (older model) and love them -- the best running shoes for my feet. Recently I bought the next generation FWD VIA 2 and got a serious problem with the left shoe. The foam is so soft and ankle loose so that my left foot pronates inwards while walking. Cannot wear them even for walking never mind running. Other than that lovely shoes.

My Feet Can Finalllly Breathe:)

My first pair of Altra's and wow, the hype is sooo real. I really love the wide toe box, you can really splay your feet and they feel super comfy all the time. I've only worn these for a few days and I'm already really happy and impressed with how my feet feel in them. These FWD VIA 2's have some really nice cushion in them. LOVE THESE!!! Already looking at my next pair!!!

Fantastic

If you’re looking for a high cushion gateway shoe into altra this is great. 4mm drop in this shoe vs straight to 0 like the to run can be a comforting transition. But, feels amazing no complaints this became a work/gym shoe for me and did me well!

Nervous At First!

I was nervous at first making the switch. Glad I did. Hands down the best running shoe I've had. No blistering, no twisted ankle, and more support. A little pain in my foot and claves after my first few runs. 3 runs later adjusted and by far the most comfortable shoes in my selection. I went with a half size bigger as recommended by Altra.

This Is My Fourth Pair

This is my fourth pair that I use mainly for work on cement floors for 8 to 10 hours a day. The shoe just works for me. The fit and size are on point. It’s very well cushioned and stable at the same time.

Perfect For Pavement Walking

True to size. No heel slip when laced. Excellent combination of wide toe box with reduced cushioning in toe area for good feedvack from the ground, with excellent heel cushioning to deal with pavement strikes. These are my go-to footwear when I walk on the street around my neighborhood.

Great Shoes

To me altras are the most comfortable shoe on yhe market.

Comfy And Responsive

These shoes are fantastic! I wear them to teach high school and they keep my feet comfortable walking miles a day on concrete. Great buy!

Good Cushion, Terrible Running Experience

I bought these to replace my Salomon Aero Glide 3s. I love the wide toebox and secure forefoot / heel but these shoes were terrible to run in. Immediately they felt lifeless and heavy. I felt like I was running in sand, struggling to lift my feet with every step. After 1. 5 miles, my feet were incredibly sore, muscles very fatigued, and immensly tired from what was a typical run for me in my old shoes. The next day I had so much knee pain in my right knee (which I have never had before) I started the return process. I have no idea why anyone would wear these. I am about 200 lbs & 5'-11" and run very light footed for the weight. Maybe I am too heavy for the foam? This is the second pair of Altras I have returned for quality issues in less than 3 months. Stay clear of this and of the Escalante 4s (terrible terrible durability)

Great Shoe For Working Out

These fit my weird feet great, and my orthotics fit perfectly. The Ego P35 is great, though not quite as bouncy as Say Nike ZoomX, but close. My only gripe? I'd prefer a zero drop and less of a rocker bottom. It makes transitioning from these to my Lone Peaks (my everyday shoe) a little awkward at first.

Love These Shoes Perfect Purchase

This is my second pair and love them. I use them for work.

Great Cushion But Too Narrow

The mesh upper is nice. Cushion is very soft and comfortable. Unfortunately the FWD VIA 2 feels incredible narrow compared to other Altra’s. I have both the Torin 8 and Lone Peak 9 too. The tongue connects to the bottom of the shoe and feels way too tight on wide feet. I fell in love with the Torin 8’s, they’re the best running shoe I’ve ever worn. A 10k run in my Torin 8’s is very comfortable, but I can barely make it through a 5k without these shoes shredding my feet and blistering the inside of my foot.

I Wanted To Love These!

I wanted to love these shoes! However, even though they have a wide toe box it has messed up my ankle and the outside of my right foot!

Weird Fit

I love Altra shoes but these have a weird fit in the heel that I’ve never experienced with any other Altra Model. These are very loose in the heel area and cause my heels, especially my left one to pronate inwards when I walk. The be never experienced this with any other Altra Model. Because of this issue I’m going to return them unfortunately

Low Drop, Big Toe Box

Great light weight shoes. Huge toe box allows a better fit shoe wide for me. Very low/no drop running shoes
