I bought it 3 weeks ago it very easy to throw with no backlash

Not What I Expected

I bought this setup for my grandson to go fishing with me. He tried to cast it and it went only 10 feet from the boat. He tried over and over still wouldn’t go any farther. I tried it and maybe got 15 feet from the boat. He was so disappointed. To me this was a waste of money and time. The rod seems like it has some nice action but I’d have to find a reel that he could use on the rod to find out.

Rod Is Ok. The Reel Sucks

Just bought this a couple days ago and It won’t cast past 10’. I checked some of the quick fixes from online and still no luck don’t know if I just bought a defective one or this reel is honestly just this terrible but guess that’s why you get what you pay for “garbage bearings”. Waste of money that I should have put towards a better rod/reel.
