Stays Hot - Not A Quality Press

We bought this for our small office to make an average of one pot of tea per day. The tea stays incredibly hotter than any other pot I have used (including other double-walled). Where things go wrong it the press. After ~ 18 months of use the plastic filter / seal retainer has broken. Any other press style I've used or seen in the past has been constructed of stainless like the rest of the press and filter. Leading up to this the quality of the press was never great even though it felt like a tight seal to press. Overall, for the price it's disappointing that one cheap part really ruins the otherwise excellent concept.

An Almost Fantastic Product With One Serious Flaw!

We took it backcountry camping last week (chilly temperatures mid-September in Algonquin Park Ontario), thinking that it would keep coffee hot, but with the plastic lid and the opening for the pour spout, it cooled off quickly. While we could also bring along another Yeti to decant it into, that's a LOT of extra weight for backcountry paddling and defies the point of having an insulated French Press. It works perfectly other than that--plunger works well and keeps coffee grounds out of the coffee, easy to pour, and looks great. Why doesn't the lid with the plunger on it have some insulation built in? I am hoping that there can be a design change for a plastic lid that is insulated and maybe even a stopper in the pour spout--then it would be a five star review!

Do you want a teaspoon of Grounds in every cup? Buy this. An old sock in a bean can filters grounds better. It does look nice, and is heavy enough to repel a home invader. I use it with a drip filter now, so it works

Lousy Product Even Worse Service

Losy doesnt keep coffee hot. I believe this is a design flaw. If they had something like their magazine on it that would help. But even worse is the service. They insist on replacing it not refunding money which I could deal with but they refuse to ship the replacement in a timely manner so I wont have it in time, assuming it works, so its totally worthless and yeti as a company is worthless

Replaced twice. Leaks awful. The 1L one does not leak. I have two of those, but this larger size is awful. Takes a 5 start to a 1 star. Don’t waste your money.

Great Coffee!

We recently purchased this for camping but I have been using it in the house at well. Coffee seems to taste so much better when being made in this. It also makes it fun! It holds the heat forever. My only wish is that they would've included a standard pitcher lid since this can be used as a pitcher, and you don't have to buy that separate. But for it's intended purpose, it works great and I have no complaints! I also recommend getting the 64oz. It there are 2 or more people drinking from it, the smaller size would be empty in no time.

Poor Quality And Difficult To Use

Lid is very difficult to lift up/out even when no coffee left and unlocked. Pour spout spills coffee when pouring even when locked. Ceramic inside chips easily.
