Cozy, But Not Warm Enough

I just returned from a 7-night backpacking trip with this bag. I like the bag - the fabric, the quality of it, even the zipper that doesn’t catch the fabric. Admittedly, I am a cold sleeper. Still, I was disappointed that a 5 degree bag was not warm enough for me with ~40 degree nights; I also wore 250 gsm Smartwool bottoms and tops, as well as a down puffy jacket.

Big Surprise

I spent hours and hours researching for the best sleeping bag for a trip I was taking. Reading many reviews, watching videos, and shopping for the most value I could find. I made my purchase hoping that the product was what I thought it could be. Boy, was I surprised when I received the package. I thought the product was not in the package due to weight of the box. The sleeping bag is so light. The size of the bag is very roomy. The zippers are of good quality and baffles help keep it from catching. The down and fabric is very impressive. Warm, light, and roomy make this sleeping bag worth the purchase.

Great Sleeping Bag

This is obviously not a cheap sleeping bag but if it is in your budget it is well worth getting. It is super warm and comfortable. In fact, maybe a bit too warm on the first trip I took with it when it "only" dropped to just about freezing. The way the zipper works it was easy to "vent" to control the temperature. It packs down pretty small considering the 5 degree rating. As you would expect at this price-point, the quality is top notch.

Warmest Winter Sleeping Bag I Ever Used!

I tried out several other different winter sleeping bags and this one is the best! It is very warm and comfortable to sleep in because of the material it's made of. I slept out outside on top of the snow with my insulated air mattress and this sleeping bag. The temp. was 11° F/ -11.66° C and when I woke up the sleeping bag was covered with a heavy frost. There was no damp feeling inside the bag and I was warm the whole time. I'm very happy with this purchase it was a little pricey but well worth it.
