Great All Arounder

I got this helmet to use for road, cross and mountain. Admittedly I largely picked it because it's such a cool colorway, but it's worked out well, with impressively good ventilation and very good integration with my Smith Wildcat glasses, which don't bump into the front of the helmet as they did on my old one, and are notably less likely to fog up on hot days. The Koroyd material is present on the side vents of the helmet but thankfully not in the middle vents so I can mount a light to the top of the helmet without issues. The little velcro visor is brilliant, offering cycling cap-like sun protection without compromising ventilation or taking up space in the helmet. It doesn't flap around even on fast road descents so I've just been leaving it on all the time. A few minor gripes: I haven't yet figures out a way to confidently secure my glasses to the outside of the helmet, I suspect the channels that are present on the inside of the outer vents could work on smaller helmets but on my size L, it would require the arms of my glasses to bend more than I like. The matte finish also seems to pick up scuffs and chips more easily than glossy finishes, which also makes it a big annoying the helmet didn't come with a bag. I have some from other helmets, but it would be a nice protective touch. On the whole it's a very good helmet and I'm happy with it.

Another great helmet from Smith, I continue to be a huge fan of the helmets they make. Koroyd looks great, and the helmet suffices for the road and gravel I ride regularly.

Absolutely love Smith cycling helmets. They’re comfortable, lightweight, allow lots of airflow and are good for road/gravel.

Good Solid Choice

Seems like a protective well designed helmet. Not planning on crashing and testing the effectiveness! Once adjusted it fits well. Could use a bit more cushion padding around the rim.

It Might Of Saved My Life Or Concussion

I’ve always preferred Smith Helmets. I just recently had a bike accident on my road bike. I was too fast on a turn and crashed into the woods. I came out with a dented helmet and no concussion. I think MIPs helped to avoid the concussion

Sunglasses Issue

I’ve ridden 3 networks now for about 5 years without issue but my recent one will not hold onto sunglasses for the life of it. Disappointed in this feature of an otherwise great helmet

Comfortable And Secure

I love this helmet. It's super comfortable and easy to adjust depending on how I'm wearing my hair. It also keeps me fairly cool in the summer heat. (Though I do recommend dry shampoo after wearing this if you don't plan on washing your hair.) It feels secure as I'm riding in city streets. I also love the matte color. Since I mentioned hair, I want to specify that I am white with medium length fine-ish weight hair. So far I found that I am able to wear this helmet comfortably with my hair in styles like a small bun, braided, and with a head scarf.

Great Price, Comfortable And Cool!

So I took a spill with my old POC helmet that was at least 4 years old. The new ones didn’t seem to fit me, so I tried this one. What’s not to like - comfortable, cool, and about half of the price of my old POC.

Gray Paint Coming Off

The helmet itself is very comfortable. An included visor has no obvious way to attach, and no info is provided with the helmet. Unfortunately, after only 3 wears, the gray paint started to chip off on one side, even though I have not handled it roughly. This is an expensive helmet and this should not happen. There should be no paint, period--the colors should be part of the material. Luckily warranty covers replacement but I don't trust getting the same one again. Trying another color that hopefully doesn't have painted components.

Nice Helmet But Didn't Work For Me

I gave it 3 stars because I believe that it is really good helmet, but it didn't fit my head properly. I liked the look and i really wanted it to work. Since I am between sizes, first I ordered small size but it was too small so I exchanged it for medium which was better size but it didn't feel like it fits well. I tried to adjust it but either it wasnt tight enough on my head or if i tightened it more my head felt too much pressure, which was just after few minutes of wearing so It definetely wouldn't be comfortable for longer rides. So I decided to return it.

Was Torn Between Sizes And Colors

Ordered the medium in gravy and large in mystic green. I’m exactly between sizes according to the chart. The medium fits perfectly when nearly maxed out (I’ve got 3 clicks left before it is totally maxed). The large had to be cinched down more. At first the medium felt too shallow, but I realized the depth of the cage is adjustable in the back. After lowering it, the medium felt perfect. As for the color, I reallly wanted to like the mystic green. On its own it’s a great look, but setting it out with all my jerseys, shirts, socks, it really just doesn’t go with anything. The mystic green would be great if all your kit is black or grey or somehow matches the helmet color - not the case for me. I realize this is very superficial, but ultimately settled on the gravy color since it goes with everything. As far as glasses storage, it seems a bit clumsy. Probably works best with the matching smith sunglasses, but I wouldn’t trust it to hold mine in place. All in all, it’s a great looking helmet. Fit is good and this is replacing a nearly 10-yr old giro (which I also liked, just time to replace)

Comfortable And Breathable Helmet

The helmet is comfortable and doesn’t get too hot. Strap is comfortable around chin and hardly noticeable. There is a peace of mind knowing it has MIPS technology.

Comfy Brain Bucket

Have been super happy with how my Smith mountain bike helmet fits, I replaced my Lazer with this. The only gripe i currently have is getting the straps to not rub my ears. I'm hoping that can be adjusted away.
