My English Shepard has very broad shoulders so the pack spread out too much and the saddlebags stuck out and did not hang properly. I had to return. Nice pack though just not for my dog.

I bought this last month to get my puppy used to carrying a lightweight pack. This one is great. I like how the Ruffwear supplies--harness, day back, leash, light, etc -- work together so nicely.

I gave this dog day pack to my daughter as a gift. She loves it. Its great quality. It fits her dog well and her dog didn't seem to mind wearing right from the start. The pack also seems durable and comfortable. Now they can go hiking together and Luna can carry all her own water, snacks, bags, trash, etc.

Harnesses don't often fit too well on my dog, but this pack, built on the Front Range harness, fits great! It seems comfortable. The bags are roomy. The whole thing is light weight, and well balanced. The material is sturdy.

Our pup loves this new pack almost as much as we do. Frees up our hands and personal packs to fit more of his stuff on him. He wears it proudly and gets excited when we tell him how good he looks.

Perfect size for a few night backpacking trip. Fit all of my dog’s food and extra supplies. Only issue was with rubbing underneath my dog’s legs.

This day pack is a perfect fit for my coonhound mix. Plenty of adjustments to keep it comfy on him. The packs are large with small divisions inside. Sturdy leash rings.

This is my 18 month old Doberman. The backpack is excellent quality and is adjustable in the perfect ways. It comes with small purple straps that buckle and keep the top pouch attached to the large straps on each side. This helps keep the pack stable. It’s got decent space to. Definitely looking forward to using this on longer actual hikes. The color is a great look for his fur color too!

I bought this a couple months ago. It's very useful and the quality is great. I haven't had any problems with it. When we go on hikes, my pup can carry her own stuff now.

I've used this for several months now. I was worried about getting the right size because my dog was still growing, but a size M worked well my 40-50lb Samoyed and still has some room to go, even now that he's a year old. Having the chest and back hooks are great for a nosy dog that's constantly looking to sniff things off the trail if you've already got a double hooked leash. I got some roll-up water plastic water bottle/bags and put one in each saddle. Then his little rubber extendable bowl goes in, a dog snack bag, and then dog bags. The best part, ultimately, is the fact that he gets the pleasure of carrying his own smelly filled dog bags around and I don't have to deal with them until we get to the car / trash can.

Can't say we've truly tested on a hike yet, but have tried this on our little one and fits true to size. We'll be taking her out very soon to actually text this out being packed.

This pack has a lot of utility and is perfect for hikes or even going on runs so I can throw my wallet and keys in. The pockets are very deep, they hold a lot more than you would expect. I have a 5 month border collie who despite only wearing it for going on adventures, still runs away from it as soon as she sees me pick it up. If you want a pack that can hold your dogs own water, waste bags, bowl or anything they would need on the trail, then this is your pack.

Just took my dog (60lb golden retriever, size M) on a trial hike with this pack. He really liked it. He’a got a tendency to tug toward new smells, so the sturdy center leash clip kept him close to us without curtailing his hike. The two pockets are spacious and held his collapsible bowl and some snacks.

This pack fits nice on my German shepherd. Seems to be well made, sturdy, and the pockets are large enough to hold water, treats, and anything I else I need to throw in.

I love these. Upgraded from an outward hound. The padding is very comfortable for my pit mix which is crucial for bully breeds with sensitive skin. Going to get another for my other dog!
