Wind And Water Resistant But Not Durable

Bought these for a trip to Patagonia. They worked for hiking and repelled wind and water well, but they do not hold up well to other activities. I wore them horseback riding and they started to disintegrate at the knees. This was only the second time I wore them. Perhaps it's my fault for wearing them for something other than hiking, but for the price I expected much better durability. I imagine the same thing would happen if your thighs rub together when you walk.

Size Has Changed

I purchased these a few years ago, but as shorts. So I assumed the sizing would be the same - WRONG, the pants are at least 3/4 of an inch smaller in the waist. My shorts fit perfectly, the pants I will return.

All Around Asia

I wore these daily for 10 months and they are awesome. They are cool even on the equator. They dry super fast are crazy comfortable and look sharp. An extra bonus is they require no special care and look great right out of the wash.

Still Look Great After 2 Years Of Bike Packing

I bought these pants as my ONLY pair of pants for a 2 year bike packing expedition through Latin America and I could not be more impressed. I've put these through the ringer sitting in the saddle for hours day after day, dragging my bike through jungles in Colombia and over washed out roads in Baja, and hiking up 20k+ volcanos in Bolivia. They STILL LOOK GREAT and are the most comfortable pants I own. These things are worth twice the price.

A Staple In My Work/hiking Wardrobe

The breathability of these pants on hot days as well as the durability I've gotten out of them over countless miles and much bushwacking is impressive. I would say that if you're walking through brush or grass in the rain or right after rain that you should be prepared to get wet, but the pants dry quickly thereafter.
