Great pair of pants that on first glance look professional. Not a fan of the thigh zipper pocket. Only thing that makes it look not professional so you can't wear it to work and not placed well for hiking as the pants are so thin anything in that pocket would just bounce around as you move. Great lightweight pants for hiking that give you full leg coverage while not making you over heat.

Very disappointed! I used them only once. After one day of cycling the material is shedding and the pants are damaged. I bought these pants after reading a five-star review someone posted, saying they bought these pants as their "only pair of pants" on a two-year bike packing trip. There is no way these pants would last a week let alone two years! I have other Outdoor Research products, which were made well, but after this purchase I will think twice before buying another product from them again.

I have only worn these pants on two hikes so far, both Colorado 14ers, but they have already become my new favorite hiking pants. The sizing was spot on. On one cooler ascent, with temperatures in the mid-30s at the summit, I wore thin Under Armour leggings underneath and was perfectly comfortable, even with a stiff breeze. My other summit was a bit warmer, so I wore them by themselves. They were cool enough on the approach and warm enough at the summit—perfect. That second hike was also a Class 2 route, so it involved some scrambling. These pants have the perfect amount of stretch for climbing over boulders, and they held up well against sharp Colorado granite. I also love that they have two zippered pockets: one on the right thigh for my cell phone and one in the rear for my wallet. I’m looking forward to buying another pair soon.

The pants are very comfortable to wear all day. I wore these pants along with an Echo T shirt on a recent overnight backpacking trip. They move with you and don't bind during strenuous activity. They work great during outdoor activity but also look good for a night on the town. I would highly recommend these pants.

Cons - They run a little long - They tear easily Pros -Lightweight -Comfortable -Breathable -Flexible If they didn't easily become damaged I would rate them a 4/5.

Great pant in almost every way (I own 3 pairs). The one problem is piling of the material which happens after minimal wear. By minimal I mean wearing them just half a dozen times. Please fix this issue and it'll be the perfect pant

A single pair of OR Ferrosi pants lasted me the entire Pacific Crest Trail last year. I will never own another paid of hiking pants. I went through 3 different sun hoodies on trail. I still hike in the same Ferrosi pants.

These are by far the most comfortable hiking pants I have ever owned. I can not recommend them and Outdoor Research enough.

Great material and design, 30 inch inseam was very inaccurate and the fit was overall boxy. Spent just as much to have them tailored as it costs to buy them on here.

Skin tight and paper thin. I’ve never owned an article of clothing as thin as these pants, and I don’t mean that in a good way. These pants are thinner than my underwear and fit tighter too. Skin tight from the calves to the thighs. They are as tight as skinny jeans. These are basically leggings for men.

Bought these for a trip to Patagonia. They worked for hiking and repelled wind and water well, but they do not hold up well to other activities. I wore them horseback riding and they started to disintegrate at the knees. This was only the second time I wore them. Perhaps it's my fault for wearing them for something other than hiking, but for the price I expected much better durability. I imagine the same thing would happen if your thighs rub together when you walk.

I purchased these a few years ago, but as shorts. So I assumed the sizing would be the same - WRONG, the pants are at least 3/4 of an inch smaller in the waist. My shorts fit perfectly, the pants I will return.

I wore these daily for 10 months and they are awesome. They are cool even on the equator. They dry super fast are crazy comfortable and look sharp. An extra bonus is they require no special care and look great right out of the wash.

I bought these pants as my ONLY pair of pants for a 2 year bike packing expedition through Latin America and I could not be more impressed. I've put these through the ringer sitting in the saddle for hours day after day, dragging my bike through jungles in Colombia and over washed out roads in Baja, and hiking up 20k+ volcanos in Bolivia. They STILL LOOK GREAT and are the most comfortable pants I own. These things are worth twice the price.

The breathability of these pants on hot days as well as the durability I've gotten out of them over countless miles and much bushwacking is impressive. I would say that if you're walking through brush or grass in the rain or right after rain that you should be prepared to get wet, but the pants dry quickly thereafter.
