Looking everywhere for the next size up! Hoping Merrell will restock this style. These were great for everyday shoes for my child, comfortable, lightweight, sturdy. I did have to sew one of the Velcro straps back together. We consider these an airy breathable sneaker, not a water shoe.

The tow box is incredibly narrow and uncomfortable for any child or human.

I will try this review again as it appears my last review for this shoe was taken down. This is a great looking shoe and my kids love this shoe however the mesh like fabric is not very durable as it was not even 6 months and they have holes in them now.

I bought these for my 7.5 year old daughter. she loves how easy they are to get into, and that she's allowed to get them wet! They clean up very easily, and are comfortable.

I bought this for the rainy days. They absorbed water like any shoe. They held alot of water and did not dry out. She will not be using these shoes and because she used them not returnable.

My grandson loves these shoes! I got them so that we could do hikes together in creeks and around lakes. The first day he put them on and we went to a playground. He walked up the steepest slide completely erect, didn't use his hands. The grip on these shoes is incredible. He wants to wear them all the time!

Bought these at the beginning of last summer for my then four year old who goes to a nature school and is outside all day. He wore them for weeks, but the narrow toe box wasn’t very comfortable and the heel caused blisters. They also don’t dry out very quickly. I really like the idea of a “sneaker” that he didn’t have to wear socks with that he could walk in a stream, but also have coverage for ticks in a field. This is almost it, but definitely needs more comfort tweaks. Quality and durability of materials was great. Will be able to hand them down to little brother.

Usually Merrell shoes work great for us -- we've bought dozens over the years. But something is wrong with this shoe. The arch is super high and presses on the wrong part of the foot (presses against the heel, despite being the right size for length and width). Also the material at the rear of the shoe feels sharp and rough against the skin of the Achilles tendon. It REALLY needs padding of some kind there. It seems like the design of the shoe is incomplete, and the foot bed is improperly mapped to fit a human foot.

We bought these for our 5 year old to hike and play in this summer and we wish we had found them sooner! She has narrow feet and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable with or without socks and dry off quickly when they get wet. Most important to us, they provide non-skid traction on trails. Great find! We will be getting her a new pair next summer for sure!

I like the style of the shoe, but am disappointed that these give my son blisters on his heels even after several attempts to break in. He refuses to wear them for this reason, so that's $$ down the drain.

These fit great and are a great sneaker/sandal hybrid. Don’t dry very quickly, so I wouldn’t recommend as a daily water shoe.

These are perfects for my kid's everyday activities. They look like a really nice sneaker just to be out and about but I don't mind if he goes in the creek with them because they dry out so quick. The fit is fine but they work best with bare feet.

We usually love Merrell sandals but these were incredibly narrow. They were too narrow for all three of my kids. Unfortunately, we will be returning these.

These look like they would tick all the boxes for a great soring/summer shoe but they are SO narrow! The toe box is so small for kiddos. Not sure why they don't have a wide option. We have always gone with Merrell for summer/water shoes and I love their bare step line for little kids. But my 6 year old sized up to big kids and I'm so disappointed in the fit for big kid shoes :(
Outdoor Mama
I have been buying my kids the smaller hydro sneaker for a few years now but my son sized out of the little kids version.... why did you mess up this shoe with the narrow toe box? That’s not what kids need. Please make the big kids version with a nice wide toe box next year so I can buy them again. Otherwise we will have to look elsewhere for our summer shoes.
