I bought 2 of the above fishing Lew's American Hero OD Spinning Combo. One for my 13 year old son for his birthday & 1 for myself. We both love it. We think that it a great rod & reel combo and the price was great plus we got additional 20% off. Great casting and it reels in smooth. We both give it 5 stars

Ok Pole But…

Bought pole for my teenage sons. Seems to be like most rods but this one seems to have the wire come off and tangle more easily than our other rods. Only 2 weeks into use but this was our initial observation.

Excellent Value For A Combo - Very Well Made

I originally purchased one of these months ago for myself so I could have my own spinning reel and my kids would leave it alone. That obviously didn't happen so when they went on sale I bought another one since I liked it so much and I could have one that wasn't tangled when I wanted to use it. I've had a hard time finding an all metal body spinning reel at this price point. It's hard to beat. The rod has great flex and fits the reel very nicely. Overall if you're on the <$100 range do yourself a favor and pick one of these up - especially when they're on sale.

This is a great rod and real combo for the money. You don’t need to spend a lot to get something of quality. This is definitely an upgrade from cheaper combos. Highly recommend.

Great Little Wacky Setup

I bought this about a month ago and I’m not disappointed. Lews always seem to good quality for a good price. The green looks amazing with the gold. Comfortable to hold. Smooth reeling. The drag is easy to set and holds. Good little budget setup.

I got this for my son who is starting to dabble into bass fishing and wanted to graduate from the $10 walmart spinning combo. Hasn't been able to get them to the lake yet, but he sure is looking forward to it!
