Transform My Jetboil Into A French Press?

Yes, please. Form factor is straightforward for anyone who has used a French Press, add water, boil, add grounds, stir, steep, press, boom — coffee. Sometimes a strong cup of good freshly ground coffee in the woods on the first overnight morning is all you need to reset. Strongly recommend purchasing up front if you are new to Jetboil (you’re going to eventually) so just take some gentle advice and get it with.

Turn your jet boil into a French press! So easy to use, packs right in with everything else and… makes a good cup of joe! Haven’t lost either part of the two piece push rod, but that is a concern. Otherwise, it’s worked great.

Great Addition

I used my 1l jet boil cup with this French press to make coffee every morning while backpacking across Isle Royale. The stem comes in two pieces and it fits in most stove containers. And the stock lid has an opening for the stem. Overall great engineering, and everything works well. I would recommend using a course to medium ground coffee to keep the grounds from strangling you at the end of your cup.

This is a very good coffee making strainer. I bought it to add to my camping cooking collection and glad I did.

This french press works great! Nice to have a nice cup of brew in the mountains. I would buy it again. Not quite a perfect fit with lid when packing but not a significant issue,

Does a pretty good job if you take your time - can be hard if you are also trying to get water boiled for the kids - I prefer to have a separate apparatus to use for coffee making.

Great Addition To The Flash Cooking System

Used this on a 3 week road trip to Canada and back visiting all the big national parks. Having a Jetboil for making coffee in the early morning and having it for boiling water in the evenings for dishes was great. Pros: Fast to set up Easy to use Quick to clean Light weight and packs easily Cons: Be careful when making coffee the water will boil so rapidly grounds and water will boil over the edge. Definitely user error

Sure it's frivolous, but it fits well and does what it's supposed to do. Wouldn't take it backpacking due to the weight and messier cleanup compared to basic pour over options. Waiting for Jetboil to come out with the milk steamer attachment.
