Nice quality but doesn’t heat evenly like the SS pans. The pan was only hot enough to cook 1 pancake in the very center. If you tried to cook more, you’d get half a pancake cooked and the other with raw batter. Best replacement would be a low lipped stainless pain or cast iron maybe.

First let me say I had high hopes for this. Loved the idea of a high wall compact griddle plate. The idea was great, execution was definitely off. Pros: Lightweight for what it is. Large cook surface. Compact and east to transport. Very solid construction. Cons: No amount of lowering the heat on my CampChef Everest would allow this to be "non-stick" Coating burned off on the first use and smelled horrid Wobbles as mine was slightly humped in the middle of the griddle My biggest issues with this were the fact that since day one it hasn't been non-stick in the slightest. I have the entire Complete cookset and everything else is amazing and has had zero issues. This one unfortunately missed the mark completely. Eggs stick, bacon sticks, and the pan has never been the same since. It doesn't even make it into the camping gear anymore. It sits at the house and may or may not come out to be used. If the heating issues were fixed with this, it would be an amazing little griddle pan for pancakes, eggs, or whatever else you would throw at it.

The griddle seems to heat unevenly. Also, the handle is (1) difficult to put on securely, and (2) very loose-feeling when attached. Perhaps I received a defective unit, but several times the handle has failed to lock into place. I need to insert it, wiggle it, wiggle it some more, and then it seems to be locked into place. Even then, it feels loose so I do not particularly trust it. The only reason for two stars is that is is carbon steel.

The surface of the pan peaks in the middle. Runny pancakes, oil, etc quickly runs to the edge away from the center. According to Gerber this is not a manufacturing issue and they will not warranty. Not worth the money.

I seasoned this pan according to the oven seasoning instructions and it has become perfectly nonstick. I love the slightly raised edges, which give you lots of control no matter what you’re cooking. It may be for camping, but I use it every day on my induction stove at home. I had to knock off one star though because it’s not perfectly flat. The center is slightly domed, which means if you pour something in the center of the pan, it runs towards the edges. Protect it from acids like tomatoes, vinegar, and lemons, and it will probably last forever.

Not sure how to convey this, the product is excellent but the description and directions are misleading. This pan is carbon steel, which "can have" nonstick-like properties similar to cast iron. This pan is NOT nonstick like teflon. Just like cast iron, it must be seasoned first! Anyone who cooks on this straight out of the box is going to be disappointed. HOWEVER - I've seasoned it with grapeseed oil and cooked eggs with just a spritz of oil (and also separately with butter) and had no sticking, none. The pan is light, cooks evenly, avoids the PFA's debacle completely, easy to clean, requires no special utensils (metal is fine), and continues to sit flat after repeated heating/cooling cycles. Four stars b/c of the focus on nonstick which means different things to different folks. One thing I don't see mentioned enough is that the handle is also a bottle opener. That makes me feel better even though cans are having a moment.

This is by far the most robust camp griddle I have owned for overlanding yet. I was super excited to receive it, and even added on the cutting board/knife system and the stacking ComplEAT Cook Set as well. I makes camp kitchen organization a breeze and I'm sure we will use this for years to come! Thank you for listening to the community and making such an outstanding product!

It's hefty, it's a clever shape, it's high quality. But, do NOT think this is anywhere close to being considered non-stick. Everything sticks to it. Pancakes, eggs, burgers, are utterly destroyed while cooking on this. So, either cook things that wont matter or are low risk for sticking. This pan will not be in my cooking gear for camping sad to say.

Totally efficient use of space on standard shaped multi-burner camp stoves. Great heat conductance and wonderful nonstick properties. Perfect griddle/pan for non ultralight applications

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened the box my first thought was this griddle is flimsy looking. Surprisingly was strong. The eggs did not stick!!! Overall I am very impress with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t used the griddle on a campfire yet, but have used on my grill during a power outage. It held up to the grill’s heat for cooking breakfast, and heavy duty quality of the pan is really impressive. Highly recommend for anybody looking to buy cookware for using outdoors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is actually game changer! The pan is made of very durable materials and distributes heat pretty evenly, making it perfect for cooking up a hearty breakfast or quick dinner. Cleanup was a cinch no stuck on food which can be really annoying like when washing other pans. I love that I can use it on the stovetop or directly on the campfire, making it versatile and convenient. It is pretty easy to store since the handle detatches from the pan. It is heavy duty without it being too heavy. It's a must-have for any camper who wants to elevate their outdoor cooking game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just okay, this pan is advertised as non stick but it wasn’t that way for me when cooking eggs with butter. Handle is a bit wonky, but I figured it out. I do like that it is detachable and that there is a lot of surface area on the pan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the nicest pan I own, it's heavy but heavy duty, can withstand high heat. It cooks my food perfect. The detachable handle makes storing even easier. It's super easy to clean, even with marinated juicy foods, I don't have to soak amd scrub. I van cook anything from breakfast, meats, pizzas, and ot turns out perfect every time. O would highly recommend the frying pN/griddle pan to every body not just cmpers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's out of camping season for me and my partner (winter in Minnesota isn't our cup of tea for tent life) but I'm excited to take this pan with us on our next adventure in the spring. I love that it's a square pan, so it's easy to pack and to maximize space, and the handle comes off easily so it fits well into my pack. The handle can be a little wonky sometimes- if you don't make sure it's fully clipped you can have an unfortunate accident on your hands, so it's important to check it every time before using. Thankfully I figured this out BEFORE using it extensively and in situ. Burns on the trail are not cool. It's thinner than traditional cast iron too which is easier for weight maxing but can also mean uneven heating, so just be aware when using. I do wonder how it will fare in our packs- there isn't a case so the nonstick coating is at risk of getting scratched if it's not protected, which is my main complaint. I want to avoid any of that nonstick coating going into my food. The weight is easy to carry but it doesn't give as fine of a tasty finish to food as a cast iron, so we'll see if it becomes our mainstay, but once we get a chance to get some good use out of it beyond our backyard in the fall we'll really know the truth about how it fits into our camping life. We did make griddle pizzas on it and they turned out great, and it definitely is nonstick. No mozz on the bottom! Eggs are perfect too, though a fancy pan doesn't make me a better over-easy egg chef. Overall this is a nice pan, and barring the handle we’ll see if it makes the cut.
