Poor Assembly & Service

I bought this for my grandson as a gift a few months ago. After only using several times, the handle fell off of the reel. Apparently it was never tightened. He got the handle but the nuts & another small piece were lost. I contacted Daiwa to see if I could purchase the parts. The Daiwa man said it was an obsolete reel & parts unavailable, but I could send it to them. Estimated cost: $30! Daiwa was always a good brand years ago when I fished back in the day. It seems like the quality is now very poor

Very Nice Rod And Reel

I bought this rod and reel for a gift and it was very nice.

Not Great Quality

The parts of the rod are not the best quality, once a fish is on the line it is a struggle to reel it in.

Stay Away!

This pole has not worked from day one. It's a piece of trash.

Good But Has Sticking Issues

Looks and works well after the 3rd time fishing it started having twine sticking and jamming up inside the reel.

Horrible

Felt stiff and clunky. Broke after 4 fishing trips.

Good Combo For The Price.

Good Combo for the price. A one ounce lure is definitely the max. I’ve been using in the surf casting a spoon and a jig with gulp catching blues and flounder. But I could see using for bass, trout etc. Overall pretty good for the price.

Good Rod And Reel

I got this about 3 mounths ago and it is a very solid rod i got the light power option and it is very good for many species in the creek including sunfish, catfish, bass, trout, crappie, and perch. Bur i was hoping for more quality because of the dia

Decent Fishing Pole

It has a smooth reel and seems durable but it's a fast action tip so if your lure is a slight to heavy you have to cast side handed not overhand or it will get wrapped up

Great For Beginners

We bought for our 8 year old grandson and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very easy for him to cast and reel in his fish.

Great Rod

It’s actually a really nice rod and reel combo. I am a BMW to cast it out pretty far with ease. Reals in very smoothly with any of the baits I’ve used. Perfect size, breaks down nice for transport. I would buy another one.
