I purchased this a month ago and it exceeded my expectations. It’s budget friendly so it doesn’t break the bank. I’m pleased with this combo’s performance. Can’t go wrong with Daiwa!

this was the first bait caster i ever bought and i love it. On my first day i went out within a few minutes i got a 4 lbs bass. Love the rod and how it feels and it is great for starters

Bought for my son and it's his favorite rod. It's well built and had held up well to 20 lb carp.

I bought this and a couple new lures on a Friday night. Went out sat morning went out on lake and first cast with new pole I watched my line and new lure go flying bye bye. OK so I tied a bad knot. Tied a new not, put on another lure and same thing. Wait what? I know that knot was good. I inspected the last eye of the rod to see it was cracked and had a sharp edge. I fed some line through and pulled it across the eye and it sliced it like a razor blade. I returned it on Sunday and did a semi even exchange. I had about 125 yards of 10 lb braid on the reel that I lost as when I went in I only wanted to get a new pole, not the reel. Got the second rod home only to discover that the speed control know was not working as expected. No matter where I moved it the weight on the end of the line would not fall. Returned that one and exchanged for a spinning rod as they didn not have anymore Shoguns available.

Bought this a month ago and works fairly well considering the price point.
