These are VERY VERY lightweight material. Great for a quick dry. The 'shorts' created by zipping off the lower legs, at least on the pair I received are a long inseam. I mean, at the knee or just below. Not what we were looking for, so they'll just be used as pants, so no sunburned legs while handling the oars! I love Columbia, and wear it every day Spring, Summer & Fall...
These pants are great for hiking when it’s cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon!

Pants are great, but the belt that comes with it doesn’t hold. It slips to a position that doesn’t hold your pants up.

Fabric is very light. Confortable size, I didn't have time to test them outside

Fit ok around the waste. 30" inseam feels longer more like a 32".

I bought a pair for my son and myself for a 5 day trip to the Boundary Waters. It rained every single day. They would dry out within about a half hour. Our trip was in June, but the temperatures dropped the week we went. Lows were in the mid 40°’s and highs in the mid 60°’s. I was worried that because these pants are really thin we would get chilly in them, but they worked out great. We never had to put on a different layer and because of their comfort and drying capabilities, we wore them the entire 5 days.

Do NOT buy these pants. I purchased six pairs and both pockets tore in all six pairs within 1-2 years of weekend wear. It’s unfortunate because the pair I purchased 15 years ago are in better shape. I wish they maintained that level of quality.

I bought these last year. They are my most favorite pants. I am so much cooler wearing these and they look nice on. I bought 2 more this year. I highly recommend them! I have not worn them as shorts yet but willing to try on the next hot day. I do love that they also protect you from the suns rays.

Poor stitching around mesh pockets. Hole appeared in both rear pockets. Almost lost my wallet and phone

I wear these pants everywhere and do everything in them. Hiking, cycling, working out, casual wear and to work. They dry quickly and resist stains. The only change that I would like to see is: make the front pockets deeper.

I just bought my 6th (or 7th?) pair over the years and the first in a while and I came here to mention the welcome upgrades. They have increased the width of the belt so it should have less chance of getting twisted. And they have marked the L & R zippers with colors so they're easier to attach. If you're traveling to a hot climate and perhaps visiting temples, churches, or mosques in conservative countries, the ability to change into long pants with extensions that can roll up and fit in your pocket will be a huge bonus.

I am a female and I bought these for a Cruise to cut down on my luggage . With the different weather. These are the Perfect pants to shorts ratio

These are the most worthless pants i have ever purchased. Shocked at columbia for making pants for men for so many years then someone exchanged the common sense cargo pocket to a SIDE WAYS ZIPPER POCKET - WHO THUNK OF THIS?! I purchased, what I thought were the same design pants I have been purchasing for over a decade , but they are not. They are trying to hide the side ways pocket in this display, but either way DO NOT BUY THESE PANTS, BECAUSE THE FIRST YOU PUT THEM ON, YOU WILL REALIZE THE LEFT POCKET WILL DUMP EVERYTHING OUT, WALLET, PHONE, ETC. WHAT EVER YOU PUT IN IT.

Started tearing in seams in less than 2 years. Not good quality, but best utility pants.

bought for my son. he loves it. fits him very well. he liked the idea of conversion into shorts in the summer months. went back this week to get another one but only had a larger size left. I was disappointed but it was a sale...
