I got this before going on a camping trip. My wife drinks coffee but I don’t. So I got it for her. I went out and got some fresh roasted coffee beans from this mom and pop coffee shop. I freshly ground the beans and made her a hot cup of coffee. She was very happy about it. The quikpot performed great! It really wasn’t a long wait for it. With a simple conversation and enjoying the outdoors, you really don’t pay attention to how long it takes to make a full pot. I saw on YouTube videos of people complaining about how long it takes to make a full pot. Maybe they were fiending for a cup of Joe really bad. 🤷♂️ It’s a pretty awesome coffee pot. I definitely recommend getting this outdoor appliance for your next camping trip.

I received this product for my birthday about ten to twelve years ago, and I don't have many large complaints, but this isn't as fantastic as I thought it would be. This product is great in theory, but the development is not there yet for me. The sides are getting torched and warped from how hot the burner is, you have to add more water to the reservoir to get a full pot, and it takes way too long for me. Plus, it uses so much propane. I can totally see how some people love this product, especially in large groups. For just my husband and I though, we will stick with our jet boil french press.

Received as a Christmas gift 3 years ago. Zero problems thus far. 10 cups of hot brewed coffee sure beats every other camp coffee setup we have ever tried. We keep our coffee maker outside, year round, in a bench type storage container, in its box with the styrofoam. If I had to make one complaint, it would be the glass carafe. Ours is still in one piece after dozens of uses but I am always concerned that it will break. There is no need to go past the low heat setting. Our coffee on low is hotter than the electric coffee maker we use at home. Wet your filter in its holder before adding coffee, this can help keep grounds in their place. Those who are saying the coffee maker gets too hot, anything that produces heat is going to get hot. Coleman clearly marks and warns you of the hot areas. This has been so for a very long time.

I used this coffee pot twice before the ignition switch broke. I had the same model a few years ago and loved it. Then after maybe twenty used the plastic piece that holds the coffee ground basket snapped off and we used a plastic spoon to wedge in its place to hold the basket in for brewing. Otherwise we really liked it. I’m trying to find an ignition switch part.

Love that on cold Alaska days, we Can enjoy hot coffee in the boat.

We bought one of these coffee makers several years ago and have been very happy with it. The machine works just like a home coffee maker but rens off a standard 1 lb propane tank. Simply add water, put in a coffee filter and grounds, and light it up! It’s a bit slower than an electric model, but you’re camping! Can’t beat fresh coffee in the morning. Over the years, the machine has been very reliable. We broke a pot, but that was easily replaced. Absolutely no other problems.

Stainless carafe and a hose instead of steel attachment would be nice.

Used one time only UNABLE TO TURN OFF GAS brand new tank of fuel kept pouring water in tank for over a hour till fuel ran out! WHERE ARE REPLACMENT PARTS? Purchase BASED ON BRAND RECOGNITION from 70s. No more. Redesign and make metal coffee pot with replacement parts!

As a hunter and camper, I was excited at the idea of having this coffeemaker for early mornings, but I was unable to get the coffeemaker up to temp to make coffee. It got warm, but that was about it. I tried using different bottles of propane at different times, but to no avail.

Great for camping coffee. Just hook up a little bottle of propane and you are set to brew. It’s about the same as having coffee at home. I’m really happy to have gotten this as I cannot live without my coffee.
Im very unhappy with this quick pot coffee pot. The third time we went to use it, the striker stopped working. We now have to light it from below. The amount of money we spent on this coffee pot, it should still be working properly...Will not recommend this one
Quality Issues
Very poor quality and horrible design. Firstly, the unit gets extremely hot, seem unnecessary. The drip stop mechanism is flimsy and often falls off. In addition, the carafe does not fit securely when brewing and can disengage from the drip stop mechanism, causing the coffee maker to overflow, creating a huge mess. Lastly, the basket also fits poorly and is flimsy in design. The carafe lid latch broke upon first use, small tab that secures to handle. Overall, a huge disappointment. I was looking forward to the standalone design, but this product does not live up to the Coleman quality standards I came to expect. This product should be recalled or discontinued.

Used twice and the regulator and spark ignitor are both bad. I bought this to be my "go to morning coffee" at my cabin. Expensive coffee maker to be so unreliable and bad quality.

Great for Outdoor Coffee! The Coleman QuikPot™ Propane Coffeemaker is perfect for camping. It brews coffee quickly and easily without electricity. The propane system works well, and the coffee tastes great. Durable and easy to clean. Highly recommended for outdoor lovers!
Zom!
Way to expensive. I still prefer the old black one sets on stove burner. Also faster
