Love

Great support and tons of bounce, running in these feels effortless. Definite PR shoes and love the colors.

Good Fit

Comfortable fit. I miss the loop on the backside to help slide foot into shoe.. the tongue slides under shoe laces, so mid-run you need to adjust it. No discomfort in stride/strike, but some minor adjustments to those details would be nice.

For Narrow Flat Feet

Narrow toe box. No wide option. Fits smaller than true to size. Not for high arches - causes toe jam. Snappy return and faster run but when your feed expand/ swell in shoe it causes friction and pain. Returning.

🙈🙈🙈

Why?? 🙈 Why would you take your one shoe that was perfect, the Hyperion Max 3, the one that made your feet feel and look more narrow, like they would never hit each other when youre running and fatigue starts to set in (10 - 12 miles a day, every day), it had a nice cushy bounce and an awesome top that wrapped like a sock around your foot and locked your foot down so your heel never moved, the tongue was built in so it didnt move, and it had a loop in the back to pull them on..... and turn it into this? The Hyperion Max 4. Which just feels like a glycerine shoe now. It feels bulky and wide, the tongue moves and .... there is no loop to pull them on. You even took that away. The pull on loop. Why? It feels slightly softer. By the toes. The fabric on top is slightly softer. That's the positive. The colors are not good. None of them are running girl colors. I dont get it. These just feel like all your other shoes. Bulky, spongy and wide. You already have a bunch of those. Yes, compared to other brands, Im sure they are awesome. But compared to Hyperion Max 3, they are a downgrade. You took away the things that made it great and put in things that make it blend in with glycerines. They feel shorter and wider. Its like when you put on a pair of pants and they make you feel chunky? Hyperion Max 4's do that to your feet. They dont make you feel good. Its something about the way they wrap around your ankle and the outside ball of your foot. They are puffy and cumbersome feeling. It toes- off more aggressively than the Max 3. And the rocker plate feels less stiff. Please make the Hyperion Max 3 with this rocker plate, possibly the more curved toe off, and the slightly softer material by the toes. And better colors. Like the orange, and the pink and blue you used to have. Then it would be an improvement worth another iteration. Pretty please with sugar on top. Ok, pretty please with collagen protein on top. :)

Good For Tempo Runs

Good choice for tempo days. I wanted a snappy, propulsive shoe for tempo runs and some speed work during marathon training. I would not recommend for a long run- I accidentally packed these for a long run at the end of a high volume week, and the balls of my feet ached the next day.

Great Updated Version Of This Shoe

I bought these 3 weeks ago and I love them. Very springy and responsive, definitely a racing shoe. A great improvement from last year’s version because of the tongue is not connected to the laces.

Great Shoe For Training & Racing

Great shoes with nice cushion. They take a little getting used to so I would recommend wearing them for short runs at first!

Great Shoe But A Little Too Narrow

I believe this sneaker is a great lightweigth sneaker. Its very good, sadly I am returnign it because its too narrow for my feet. My feet sweeles and it starts squeezing my toes even if i lossen the laces. Over all its a great shoe, the onlt reason for the 4 satrs is because it is not wide enoght for my feet . i wear medium in all my shoes .

Great Overall Shoe Nice Cushion And Good Forward Propulsion! Feel Like A 5 Yr Old...my Shoes Make Me Fast!!

I have been an avid Brooks customer for many years...the new Hyperion Max 4 are my favorite so far. Nice cushion for long runs and great forward propulsion! Nice shoes! Happy Running 🏃🏼‍♀️

Lacks Propulsion

My first run in these were on the 4th of July...after a huge rain storm and Iowa heatwave. They ran hot and heavier than what I am used to. The 2nd time I ran in them, I was back in MA and in heat dome. Still heavy and less rocker motion/propelling than my Mach X2 Hoka's, that I loved:light, propulsive, and speed. Feel like these take time to build up speed and leave the heaviness behind. They are good in the heel, forcing me to stay out my heel strike, but the misstep is hard to find, and the front rock is dull to push off. No give or that sensation to want to keep moving, like the Hoka. The snugness around tongue is great. but again, it's heavier and hotter and narrower in the toe box. Has a stiff stability groove in back outer heel, that keeps forcing me inward. I am not into that feeling. I want to like this shoe and will keep giving it a change, still early? Run 6x in them.

Runs Small. Size Up

very stable good feeling overall but a bit hard for a, long run, cushioned shoe no room in toe box. wouldn't use it for more than 10k. i ran a 14k and lost my big toe nail on both feet.

Sizing Off, Tongue Bunches Up

They run larger than the previous versions. It is pretty annoying to me when the feel/sizing changes from previous versions. The laces also feel different and the tounge is easier to get bunched up and give pressure points on the top of the foot.

Sturdy & Stylish

So far, I love the Hyperion Max 4! I fell in love with the Hyperion Max 3, so I was anxiously waiting for the 4 to drop and they do not disappoint. First, I love the color way and think that the pictures do not do it justice. They are so cool in person. Overall design-wise, I love the lace up on this shoe & the support compared to the 3. This shoe definitely feels more sturdy than the 3. I highly recommend this shoe!

My New Go-to

I’ve been team Hyperion for years now and the Max 4’s did not disappoint. A nice comfortable ride that kept my legs fresh. Feels a little bouncier than the 3’s which had been my favorite to date. These knock them down to second place. Perfect shoe for a long run or speed work.

Perfect

Thank you so much for changing the tongue back, and the collar. I had to change shoes because the last model gave me blisters and rubbed my ankles raw. I preordered as soon as I saw you changed it back. They fit perfect and I am so happy🥰
