"I’ve run in a lot of shoes over the years, but the Hyperion Max has quickly become one of my favorites—and honestly, it just fits the way I like to run. What I love most is how fast this shoe feels. The moment you pick up the pace, it really comes alive. It’s lightweight, responsive, and has that forward roll that just keeps you moving. It’s not one of those overly soft, sink-in shoes—it’s more of a firm, snappy ride, which I personally prefer because it feels efficient and race-ready. The cushioning is a sweet spot for me. There’s enough there to handle longer runs without beating up your legs, but it never feels heavy or sluggish. It’s the kind of shoe that makes you want to push the pace a little more than you planned. That said, it’s not perfect—and I get why some people might not love it. The fit runs a bit narrow, and it’s definitely built for neutral runners. Also, this isn’t the shoe I reach for on easy, slow days—it really shines when you’re moving with purpose. Bottom line: This is my go-to when I want to feel quick, efficient, and locked in. The Hyperion Max isn’t trying to be everything—and that’s exactly why it works so well. It knows what it is: a fast, no-nonsense training shoe that delivers when it matters." - Peter, DM at DICK'S Sporting Goods Miami and Orlando

Jury Out, But It’s Starting Off As A Fine Star Win!
I have been running three years now, (I didn’t start till I was in my 50’s, so keep that in mind) and while I don’t plan on a marathon, I run my pup everyday I can, which is frequently everyday, about 3.5-4 miles. Anyway, I am considering a half marathon in the next couple of years, and so I am trying to get some longer runs in as well adding some speed to my runs. I tried a mildly plated shoe (saucony) last year, and I liked the way they felt underfoot, but I couldn’t handle the way the shoestrings bit into my upper foot, and trying a different tying scheme didn’t help. These were on a significant sale and I figured the extra stack height could make them more comfortable on longer runs. Bottom line - after about 5 shorter runs, these are not my favorites, but they are working up. The max cushion means these aren’t going to be super speed shoes, but my joints appreciate the padding. If you want a gentle step into a slightly faster shoe (glycerin’s are still my favorite), give these a try!

Firm High Stack And Fast Mover
Super nice fit! Pretty comfortable. It is a bit firm for a Max cushion shoe. If you are looking for a faster high stack shoe this is a great option. If you are looking for soft and squishy for long runs this might not be your jam.

Toe Box Is Too Narrow.
The toe box is too narrow. I did not like this shoe. It hurts the big toe.

Great To Start, Didn't Last Long, Unfortunately.
These shoes were great for about the first 150 miles, ran the Pittsburgh Marathon in them and felt great. Unfortunately at about 150 miles the left shoe seemed like it got a flat and it started pushing me into more pronation and started wearing the back of the shoe awkwardly towards the outer portion of it, which led to blistering. Not fun.

Fast, Fun Ride
I purchased the men’s PYNRS x Hyperion Max 3 when it was in stock. I’ve been running in this shoe from January 2026 til now periodically, logged 151 miles so far. Honestly, I’ve loved it. I look forward to my runs in this shoe, legs feel great and I’ll use these for 10-13 mile runs. My pace has typically been 30 seconds faster (sometimes faster!) and I know it will be an easier run. I typically wear a wide shoe however I’ve had no discomfort with this shoe in the standard sizing at my typical size. Happy Running!

Happy Father’s Day To Me.
I like the structure and the color way of the shoe, nice, However, the way the shoe squeezes the top of my foot, to the point that I can’t complete my run without having to stop every 10-15 steps because of PAIN is unacceptable. I’ve gone from an 11:13 mile to a 17+ mile. No matter how loose I tie them, regular, heel lock, NO tie at all, there’s no avoiding the serious fatigue generated by running in these shoes. I think These were my first pair of brooks ever, and on top of that they were a Father’s Day gift from my wife! Disappointed, I’ve already started the return process. Thanks brooks. I think I’ll save up and go back to Nike. :)
