[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thes are great shoes. I don’t run- I have MS and they are great for helping me with stability and balance. They are very comfortable and lightweight yet sturdy for my balance issues. I love the color (forest green) and have had several positive comments on them. Roger Harper

Brooks Man.. Now!

Wow! I've been wearing various Hoka shoes (Cliftons, Bondis, etc...) for the past few years but now I am a Brooks man for the foreseeable future. Unbelievable comfort! The rocker seems to propel you forward each stride. I also prefer the style much better than the Hoka. I don't do much running but I do walk a lot especially on 14 day trips to Disney! I'm looking forward to trying these out at the parks next year, Lord willing!

Junk

Guaranteed to wear out on the toe tops due to cheap materials

Great Service And Highly Recommended.

Great service from the staff, especially from Vidal. I was planning to purchase different shoes but he showed both my choice and his recommendation. I went with his recommendation. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. Opened up a second register, just to help me check out faster even though I was perfectly happy to wait. Very grateful for a great service and highly recommended! Thank you!

The First Shoe That Let Me Walk Naturally Again After Hallux Rigidus Surgery

I’ve been recovering from hallux rigidus surgery, and finding a shoe that actually supports normal movement has been a long, frustrating process. I tried stability shoes and orthotics for months, but nothing felt right — I was constantly guarding my big toe, lifting it slightly when I walked, and dealing with heel fatigue by the end of the day. I finally turned to AI to help me understand what my foot was doing and what kind of mechanics I needed. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it ended up being incredibly helpful — it broke down my gait issues, explained why certain shoes weren’t working, and pointed me toward models that matched my post‑surgery needs. That’s how I found the Ghost Max 4. Once I stopped overthinking my steps, the rocker design smoothed out my heel‑to‑midfoot transition and made walking feel natural again. For the first time since surgery, I actually forgot about my feet while running errands. Hard floors, long aisles, stop‑and‑go movement — no pain, no toe guarding, no fatigue. Surprisingly, the stock insole felt better than my orthotics. The neutral, flatter feel worked with the shoe’s rocker instead of fighting it, and I had noticeably less pressure in my big toes. If you’re dealing with hallux rigidus, post‑surgery stiffness, or forefoot pain, this shoe is absolutely worth trying. I’m a kindergarten teacher on my feet all day, and having a shoe that lets me move confidently and comfortably again is a game‑changer. And if you’re struggling to find the right shoe, don’t be afraid to use AI — it helped me make sense of my mechanics and finally find something that works.

Good Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe is great. The redesigned sole is flexible but supportive. Works well with insoles. The redesigned body of the shoe envelopes your foot but holds it in place. The upgrade is perfect and gets rid of the clunkiness and stiffness of the Max3.

Too Tight In Toe Box.

Way too narrow compared to ghost max 3. Ordered up a half size and it is crushing my pinky toe so bad I had to change shoes back to my old ghost max 3s. Pretty disappointed

10/10 Love These - Want Another Color

Just got these today as my store already had them. Holy moly, as a first time Brooks owner, these are amazing. I typically wear shoes with not much support (Vans) and these feel amazing to walk in. Also, having a wide foot the regular size fit nicely compared to most running shoes I have tried on. I got these for working out and general wear and am in love. The staff member who assisted me was fantastic and actually recommended a shoe based on how I walk vs recommending a brand.

No Colorways Available In 4ee

again only the grey colorway is available in 4EE. sorry Brooks not getting my $$$ for the second time

Comfort And Support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the Ghost Max 4 to help support my feet in a way I didn’t think other shoes can. I have a problem with the balls of my heal getting sore when I’m exercising too much. The extra cushion of the Ghost Max 4 is a game changer. I was able to extend my weekly mileage without the pain my old shoes used to create. The comfort and support provided are top notch and I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking to add a little more comfort to their workouts.

Most Comfortable Shoes For Running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are so great for my 10k runs on the treadmill. They have held up great and the sizing is perfect. I love that they have a good width and allow a little swelling of the foot during the run. They are soooooo comfortable and I would recommend them to anyone! They definitely support my arches well and are great for long endurance runs.

Ghost Max 4

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have love these Ghost Max 4’s. These shoes are incredibly comfortable; the cushion is thick but feels firm and stable. I’ve worn them for seven twelve-hour shifts in a row, walking multiple miles a day up and down stairs in a busy hospital, and my feet have never felt better. I love shoes with thick, pillow-like cushions, but you usually sacrifice control and stability to get them. Not with the Ghost Max 4’s—they blend these characteristics perfectly. They have a very unique, tall, thick cushion with what feels like a more aggressive rocker than most shoes I’ve worn. This seems to help the shoes flow naturally while running, making each step transition into the next and reducing the jarring feeling of hitting hard pavement. Pairing that with the incredibly thick cushion helped me push myself farther in my runs without adding stress to my joints. Because these shoes ride very high to allow for that great cushion, I believe they might not work as well for sports that require lateral movement, though I haven’t tested them for this yet. I also have a wider foot, and while some shoes leave me feeling compressed or cramped, the Ghost Max 4’s don't. I loved how I could transition right from a workout into a long day of work on my feet. They definitely helped my knees and feet feel better after climbing stairs all day at work. The only thing you have to watch out for is that because the rocker on the shoe is more aggressive to help with a more natural running motion, I found myself at times not lifting my feet up enough and catching the shoe on the grippy hospital floor, which would make it squeak. I think this will naturally get better with time and probably just means I need to pick my feet up more when I walk. Overall, these are some of the best shoes I’ve worn in a long time, and I can’t wait to continue putting them to the test.
