Great Pair With The Copper Spur Tent

This allows you to set up the tent with just the poles and fly, useful for the beach or taking the tent body down during a rainstorm and keeping it drier (just did this over the weekend and it works). It is also incredibly lightweight, far lighter than my other ground tarps.

Could have cut a piece of Tyvek to size. Instead I purchased because I liked that this is color coded and you can pitch the shelter cover super easily without the tent.

Great Tent!

This is a great tent. I love that I can use my walking sticks to extend it's area. Have used this for some high country backpacking trips. Worked flawlessly.

I'm using this in combination with my Big Agnes UL3 MtnGlow tent. It fits in the bag with my tent/poles and it is fairly light. The extra reassurance that you're not going to tear up the bottom of your tent is worth it. It also attaches directly to the tent stake points, so it is secure when in use.

Super Lightweight Footprint

This footprint is super light and packs small. It provides a good barrier between the ground and the bottom of the tent, and appears durable enough to handle rocks/roots underneath. Perfect for backpacking.

The Big Agnes UL3 Footprint is fantastic. You're paying a premium, but it's worth it for a perfectly fitted footprint that clicks right into your tent-no guessing which way it goes. It's ultralight, and the included storage bag. So far, the material has proven to be durable and easy to pack. This setup works seamlessly as a complete system.

Big Agnes Ul3 Footprint

The Big Agnes UL3 Foot print is awesome, You pay a premium for a footprint that fits your exact tent. No questions weather you have it the right way or not because it clicks right into your tent.Its ultra light and the bag it comes in i use as an extra organizer for my mtglow kit. So far the material is super durable and easy to pack. You could opt for a tarp or an old footprint but i like to carry what i need and the system all together works great together.

Personally, A Must Have

The tent floor is so thin that I just feel much more comfortable having this to prevent small holes. It isn't heavy enough to bother me and I can fit it in the actual tent bag so I don't have to worry about where to stow it when I'm packing my backpack.

So Far, Great!

It's well designed to align with the tent and to attach in such a ways as to stay under it well even on uneven ground. It's very light but seems to be constructed well enough that I'd feel comfortable putting it on ground that's a little rocky or with deadfall. I do wish that it had an extension at the entrance for putting on and taking off shoes, but I still really like it.

Necessary Addition: Choose The Non-bikepacking Version

I found some reviews and was given some solid advice from a friend that the larger version (specifically made for the bikepacking tent) runs the risk of collecting water that can travel under the tent. This standard version is perfect for the extra layer of protection or to use as a quick pitch with just the poles and the fly.
