The top opens and closes smoothly and the magnet is strong. My only complaint is that there is no carry handle on this like the regular chug lid. Also, coming back from our last camping trip I noticed there was a small pool of water under the bottle (which was laying on it's side). I checked the lid and it seemed to be on tight. I haven't noticed leaking in other situations.
