My personal opinion is that they look and feel good in the hands but not the greatest on the eyes. For me. I would like a softer approach to the eye cups.

I bought the Diamondback HD 10x42s for work in law enforcement and also for hunting, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with them. The clarity is excellent, and I really like the size and weight. They’re light enough that I can carry them with me all day while hiking without even thinking about it. The case they come with is also really nice and makes them easy to take out into the field. When you add in Vortex’s lifetime warranty, I don’t think you can beat these for the price. Great binoculars and definitely worth the money.

The binoculars are fairly straightforward to use & comes with a nice instruction manual that explained the things I needed more info on. They also came with a nice carrying case and 2 types of straps. I can’t speak on using them at night as I haven’t done so yet. I am happy with this purchase.

I've had my 10x42 Diamondback HD's for a little over a year now. I have had no issues with the optics themselves and am very happy with them. Sure, Vortex has better options at a much higher price, but for a set of binoculars that are meant to be taken in the woods, thrown into a pack or the glove box of a truck or used in large crowds during sporting events this is the perfect price point. The warranty just ensures you'll always be able to have these on hand. The only downfall is the glass pak. It's awkward to use and can get in the way while bow hunting.

I just want to say how awesome it was to deal with Vortex Optics recently. I vent in my Diamondback 10x42 for a simple warranty repair. Did not ask for a replacement but only expected a repair on my well used set of binoculars. Vortex quickly determined that the repair was not possible or necessary and sent a brand new replacement set of 10x42 Diamondbacks instead no questions asked. They sent a full box replacement with all the included accessories just as if I’d purchased a brand new repair. Again no questions asked. I really appreciate this company and their dedication to customer relations.

Was looking for a budget set of binoculars and can say the diamondback hd checked off all of the boxes. I’ve used other high dollar binoculars in the past and can confidently say the clarity and quality of the vortex are above and beyond the competitors. Included with the binoculars is a vortex glass pack that is also super quiet and made from a durable material. I’ve recently started using vortex scopes on some of my rifles and will continue to do so here on out. Between the price, quality, clarity, and lifetime warranty you truly can’t go wrong!

I had a failure on these glasses and vortex took care of me asap! If all companies stood behind their products and took care of their customers like vortex does the world would be a much better place. I dont why anyone would buy anything but vortex because of their warranty alone. But their quality is also where it needs to be as well.
