I bought these to wear outside without socks to run errands, quick trip to the store, etc. Keeps my feet nice and warm, great material on the outside, looks great. My feet do get hot mainly bc I don't wear socks. Not exactly a cushioned shoe (not like walking on a pillow) but enough to be comfortable. My usual shoe size is 8.5 so I got size 8. Snug fit, wish the toe box area had a tad more room. If I wanted these shoes to wear with socks, I would definitely try a size 9.
