This is certainly personal preference, but I found the earlier version of this pant to better. I am referring to the version with two snap buttons on the waist, as opposed to the newer version with one. This newer version seems to have a slightly lower rise, and therefore less room in the crotch/hip area. Otherwise, this is such a solid piece, just like all of the rest of TT's products. Incredibly durable yet lightweight, comfortable, and just stretchy enough without being too much so. Both the earlier and current versions of the utility pant seem to run smaller than the utility short. I have two pairs of the short, and size 30 fits me perfectly. I am 5'11", 175lbs with a true 32" waist. The pants are more accurately sized, so the 32 fits me perfectly. Side note about size is that the velcro tabs are genius. I can have them off when sitting, wearing shorts underneath, or feeling heavier that week. If I am in "skinny mode" from backpacking or whatever it may be I can sinch the velcro down, no belt needed. Another small point of personal preference is that I would like to see the pockets on the pants to be more similar to the short. The side pockets on the pants are smaller and harder to get into than those on the shorts, although ultimately will fit a phone with some effort.

I Appreciate The Fit Of
I appreciate the fit of these pants - snug but not overly tight. There is good give to the material. Well made, stitching is nice. I found that stains are a bit more difficult to remove in these, so use more as casual wear than active wear.

Too Short, Way Too Tight For Big Guys
6”1, 225 lbs, 34” waist. Absolutely not wearable. I can get them on, but the thighs are tight to busting and I may have shorter legs, but even I’m too long legged for these
