Yooper Hunter Must Have Kukri Machete
Great design! Handle/Grip is great. Very ergonomically friendly. Knife edge is sharp, Saw blade is sharp. Sheath is secure with the zipper, velcro and the snap over flap. Very impressed.

Machete Time Kukri Style
Looks good, feels good, balanced weight, at the hand; I am NOT an expert, but I do have some experience in making machetes, when I was in South America, my father's factory, a good experience overall. I used to use the machines to cut, assemble the machetes parts together, and then, try to sharpen, the final machete, for use. I have seen many machetes, and tried many variations of a machete; The Nepal Version, Kukri Design, used in this machete, is a good choice, for green vegetation cutting, and other stuff. My choice for a machete, is this Kukri Machete by SOG. Now, I need to find a nice Jungle to try my Toys, my machete, a little more!!! A Kukri is a good choice!!! Cheers, Regards, alberto

Handle Material Is Brittle And Poor Quality.
Good product in most areas but very poor handle quality. Top saw blade needs to be thinner and better cutting design.

Kukri? Machete?
Identity crisis... Sartre once said it is our burden to bear, and not the burden of objects. Yet when I look at this knife? I truly wonder. It is a well designed product, but what is it? Does it need saw blading? Why is the handle so flexible? If you wanted a kukri, then get rid of the saw blading. If you wanted a small machete, perhaps give a double edge with some saw blading to compensate for a smaller size machete, and make the handle more solid. With that said it's definitely well done. I just believe you're fighting knives are you fighting knives, and then there's everything else.

Camp Tool
Purchased as an accessory to camp box, along with axe/hatchet. Nicely made, comfortable. Only wish it was a bit thicker and heavier.

Great Hard Steel, Weak Handle.
My dad received it as a gift about 8 years ago, cleared a bunch of brush around the house, cuts great . My dad hit the frame of his mobile home trailer and it sliced right through the steel beam and barely rolled the edge, sharpened up with no problem with whet stones. Then It sat in his closet with almost no use until he gave it to me. I took it out for the first time and was clearing a tree line which mostly consisted of wax myrtles and hack berry trees. Took a swing at a tree that was about 7 inches in diameter and the handle shattered. Upon closer inspection, the handle was brittle enough that I could pick it off of the steel tang with my fingers. The handle is not up to snuff in the slightest, if you plan on using it for tough work, or want something that you can stick in a kit to rely on, this simply isn't it.
