They Work Great

I bought these chains two years ago for the whole family, and just purchased another couple pair to accommodate the kids' growing feet. We use the product for occasional hikes, walking on hockey rinks, and short dog walks several times per day when conditions require them. Durability has been good. I have observed some wear on the spike tips of our most-used set, from walking on mostly-bare pavement with the dog; otherwise no discernable wear. On maybe our second use, one of the long wire chain links opened allowing a heel chain to flop. This was easily corrected with pliers upon returning home, and nothing similar has occurred since. Those like me who might buy without examining the product first will probably find the rubber upper to be miraculously stretchy and grippy. It takes a little bit of practice to get them on and off quickly without tangles and right-side out, but it is possible to do so. You will not want to wear these on any surface subject to scratching. They provide good traction on ice and dry pavement. Concrete with an extremely thin skim of ice is slippery with or without the spikes. I do not know if they would hold up to daily wear in a work context. You would not want to wear them while standing on a steel tractor deck (slippery) or climbing in and out of a skid steer (the chains may not stand up to pivoting on a sharp steel edge while carrying weight).

Great Untilt They Break

I loved these for hiking in the ice, but the chain links stretch and unhook from the connection pieces. Then they slide to the side of the shoe. I fell and broke my knee with these.

Snowline Chainsen Great For Icy Hikes

My girlfriend bought a pair of these last year and after a slippery, icy spring hike, I purchased a pair for myself. Great for those mixed-conditions hikes when ice and packed snow is, or may be present. These things work like a charm and you don't have to take them on and off while you're on the trail. I now keep them in my vehicle at all times.
