Smartwool Has Really Delivered!

I bought this about a month ago in black and Heather gray. I do miles of outdoor walking every day and need a base layer for walking in the winter in Vermont. This works well as a first layer a shirt and my down jacket. Washed well in cold water, hang on a hanger to dry.

Perfect Base Layer For Skiing

This is my go-to base layer for skiing (or any other outdoor cardio activity... if I ever did one). It's form fitting and has great mobility. I always use merino fabric as my base layer since it's' breathable and odor-resistant. This top kept me warm but not overheated in 30 degree weather with a down ski jacket. I prefer to minimize my layers so this top paired with my jacket is all I need in everything but extremely cold or warm skiing weather. It's also stylish and looks good with ski pants on its own for apres!

Smartwool Baselayer

I love smartwool classic (midweight) baselayers. Live in Ohio where it's freezing winters and these tops work great as a baselayer or a stand alone top. They are wool so they breathe and it dries quickly if it gets damp (Unlike cotton). I have multiple smartwool tops & love them all.

So Soft And Warm

It got really cold last week - 16 degrees - and I was glad I had purchased this Smartwool merino thermal top. It kept me warm during an hour hike and the material is so soft and cozy. A perfect winter base layer.

This is my 2nd smart wool top because I wore out the 1st one! I love a 1/4 zip top to regulate my body temperature and this is always my go to choice. Perfect fit, washes well, and alway looks good.

Best $ Spent - Always Smartwool!

This is my 2nd Smartwool 1/4 zip merino base layer top. I fish in Alaska with the leggings and bought my first top for hiking as well. LOVE the neutral Almond Heather for my upcoming trip to Scotland. SO versatile. I’ve worn these hiking on Santa Catalina (southern California) in March and in June in Sitka AK so I know this one will be perfect for sightseeing and pubbing in Scotland, along with my leggings and Smartwool socks!

Great For All Seasons

This is a great sweater for any season. True to size and nice colors. The collar is a little wonky if you don’t want to zip it all the way but do recommend.

So Impressed!

Just last summer, I got into climbing Colorado 14ers and was looking forward to upgrading my gear this summer! I reluctantly paid the price for this Smartwool Thermal Merino Wool Base Layer. My sister told me if I take care of it, I'll have it forever, so I scooped this up. I cannot describe how impressed I am with the versatility of this base layer. Starting our 6 am hike at 8,000 feet on Mount Belford, I took off my Ultralite down coat within 15 minutes. I wore this baselayer alone to the summit and back down. It kept me warm in the cool mountain air, and when the afternoon sun beat down on us in the meadow, I was dry and cool. I blew my nose into the sleeves at least 30 times, and they were ALWAYS dry, and there wasn't a sign of sweat or snot anywhere. My hiking partner had to stop and change pieces often; I was comfortable in this thermal alone. This piece stayed lightweight and dry for a 10-hour hike and a hot springs experience and never smelled or felt weighted down. BUY IT, take care of it; it is worth it.

Cozy Clasdic

I love the fabric. I dress it up or down for great versatility. I own like 8 of these in various colors and sizes. Loser for dressy occasions with leggings and nice jewelry
