I had high hopes for this top given the reviews and my wife's past experiences with Smartwool's hooded shirts for athletic use. I purchased these (3 of them) for mountain biking and trail running during warm weather for sun protection and breathability. Unfortunately I found the fabric to be a much heavier weight than anticipated and not very breathable at all. Honestly they feel a lot like long sleeve cotton t-shirts, and I've found that while using them they feel very hot and quickly become saturated with sweat. They completely failed to meet my expectations and I will be replacing them with a different brand of activewear sun shirt entirely.

The quality is excellent. Well-constructed and durable. The fit is spot-on: athletic without feeling restrictive, with enough stretch for easy movement.
