Go-to Shoe For Thru Hiking In The Appalachians

I’ve been using this shoe throughout its past 3 iterations as my go-to for backpacking the East Coast Appalachians. With all the mud, roots, and rocks, I know this shoe can handle it all. Also use for trail running time to time, though, I find them a bit heavy these days for that focus. Still, an adored shoe with some of the funnest color ways in the biz. Will likely buy any newer version once all my older pairs are worn out.

This is my 6th pair of Speedcross over the last 10 years, so I might be a tad biased but just hope they don’t stop making these! I use them for both running and hiking - have worn these on multi day Sierra hikes where I often encounter steep rock descents. I feel a bit like Spider-Man when I’m causally walking down a boulder while my trail mates are cautiously inching along. Solid and trustworthy. Get you some.

Good For Serious Foot Problems

My second pair of speedcross 6. Love them, as only shoes that fit my feet and love to look down as design is great. I can’t run due to serious foot issues but always choose these as these runners have superior cushion from impact. I can’t wear Hokas as they rock my feet forward awkwardly, onto inflamed toes. Love no laces as easy with arthritic hands. Please add a pull to get shoe on, difficult; slightly longer pull lace to adjust for swollen feet. If anything, more heel cushion. Best design, great colours, coolest runner.

I use speedcrosses for all my daily hiking + few day backpacking trips. The shoes are light but very capable and it works perfectly for what I'm looking for in a good hiking footwear. I'm heading to Italy in 20 days to walk the length of it with my mom, and these are going to be my daily driver :) (half size larger to account for feet swelling). more than happy with these shoes!!!
