I bought these as a hiking shoe, because I prefer lighter shoes than a heavier boot. I was a little worried when I initially ordered these because I prefer a wider toe box even though my feet aren’t super wide. My toes just like to spread out especially after a few hours of hiking. It’s been a little while since I bought any Solomon shoes, so I was interested to see how it work out. So they are pretty comfortable right out of the box. The width across the toes, while not generous, is adequate. No rubbing of my pinky toe. I love the stability in the heel especially on uneven surfaces and downhills. The traction is awesome on these, almost like a rubbery, sticky cleat. The Gortex upper kept my feet dry in long wet grass, but gets a bit hot if it’s a warm day. Overall, I’m pleased with these. They’ll get lots of wear on day hikes, especially in the fall when it’s cooler and the foliage is bursting.

I have been buying this shoe for the last 10 years at least. Great fit for me...I have high arches, narrow heel. This shoe reminds me of the fit of spikes that I wore in track in Jr High School. Great comfort, wears well.

This is my 5th pair of speed cross 6 in size 7.5, but first with the gore-tex, and they definitely fit smaller. I am returning for a size 8.

Absolutely love my gore Tex hiking trail shoes. I did the Camino last September either my first pair, no blisters, great feeling to wear and felt safe on them In May I wore them in Croatia, and back to Spain. Loved them so much my husband got a pair and so did my son. My 2nd pair for my second Camino next week!

I bought this for my Bigfoot 20 miler in Washington. I was going into this race with a bad case of plantar fasciitis and then I was supposed to help crew my friend who is running the 200 mile. I was very anxious about doing this because of the pain in my foot. I tried these shoes for the first time for this trip and was very impressed that I only did my pain not get worse, but it actually seemed to get better.

I bought this product a month ago to hike trails at Glacier National Park, and am so glad I did. I immediately felt like I could avoid the “break in” period of other hiking shoes/boots, as they are already pliable and seem like an extension of my feet. The soles are very sturdy and durable, and they are one of the few waterproof products I could find.
Disc golf lady
I play disc golf everyday and these shoes are comfortable, waterproof and the stickers from weeds don’t get in my shoe. Durable so far they’ve lasted longer than any Brooks that I’ve ever bought.

My husband has a pair of Solomon shoes and loves them. Therefore, I decided to give these a try. First walk was 3.5 miles. Very comfortable, light weight and easy to walk in. We encountered some wet grass and tge water beaded up nicely on the shoes. I felt no moisture. I have a narrow foot which sometimes makes shoes feel sloppy. The shoe is probably considered normal width. The lacing system on these shoes allowed me to tighten the shoe easily and enough to provided me an overall good fit. I have a little slippage in the heels but I don’t think it will be problematic. I’m the 4th in our family to own the Solomon waterproof shoes. The other 3 are very happy I expect my long term outcome will be the same.

Love these shoes. The wild color combo always gets compliments, and the super grippy soles are great on rough terrain. Plus, they’re GoreTex - I don’t even bother with shoes that aren’t waterproof.

Super comfortable shoes, but the durability just isn't there. Both pairs I've owned developed a tear in the tread at the ball of the foot in the exact same spot, which seems like a design or manufacturing defect rather than normal wear. My second pair failed in less than six weeks. Great comfort, but very disappointing longevity.
