Have been and always will use products from Rio. Rio makes great products and has been for a while. The prices have gone up a little but the price is worth it. This tippet material has good tensile strength and ties easily

Helped Me To Catch Many Trout In Montana!

This was the tippet that made the difference. I wouldn't have caught any fish with a different brand, LOL. Really, it's a tippet, it did what it's supposed to do. But I did learn that these tippet rolls can be snapped together. I learned that from a fishing guide in Montana. Helpful.

Limited Fly Fishing Stock

The Rio tippet material I purchased is excellent. My issue is with the limited selection of fly fishing products. I realize Field and Stream is the specialty store for hunting and fishing, but I don’t have a local F&S store.

I used some of this in 5X fishing on the Missouri. Caught up to 20" fish with no breaks in the tippet. Ties well also.

Good Stuff

Good stuff, but I still like the fluorocarbon better. This stuff definitley unroll better, so if you fish smaller freestone streams then this is the stuff for you as opposed to the fluoro.

No break off yet and knots have not come undone, unless I tied a bad knot. Which I test before casting and know tight from not so tight....

use RIO most of the time. Dick's does not carry enough items for fly fishing and I think they could do OK here in Las Cruces with more.

You Get What You Pay For

I do not recommend this product at all. I lost three fish and three flies cause this tippet material can not hold a not worth a lick. When this happened I lost the tippet from the tippet ring on my leader.

I mean it is good quality tippet. If that is what you are looking for then this is what you want.

Good Stuff

This tippet has been perfectly adequate so far. I haven't used it extensively yet. It seems durable, casts well enough, and maintains a smooth, supple texture.
