$700 Paper Weight

Drove 5 hours round trip to pock this up. Had visible scratches when i took it home. Wasnt in plastic. Has a buckling seat mount issue that ruins the kayak. Cant even use it now. Thanks Dicks Sporting goods

Steady And Stable

Took it out and day one the lake did its best to throw me around. After getting used to the new kayak i never once felt in danger of capsizing. Plenty of room for me at 6 foot tall 240 pounds. Only real gripe is the paddle holders are very shallow and slick so def keep that in mind if you try to use it in anything rougher than still water. Maneuvers as good as you would expect a fishing kayak to.

Good Fishing Kayak

I bought the Pelican Classic 120 a month ago. I have been out in it several times and will agree with other reviews that say it is comfortable, quite stable and needs tracking help in any wind. I ended up building a skeg for it rather than order options found on line. The skeg improved tracking in wind greatly. Paddling is fine but it is not a fast kayak by any means. Mostly due to the hull design. It does have a good load capacity which came in handy paddling in bundles of firewood to a remote campsite in VT. I have no regrets with the purchase and will recommend to those wanting a decent fishing kayak.
