Terrible Decision With The Tongue Mesh

Noticeably less comfortable and fit a little different than my favorite 880s (v12 and v13 were the best years). The shoe’s tongue is attached now with this mesh that rubbed the outside of my foot and made the shoe uncomfortable, it pressed the tongue to the top of my foot and irritated a nerve and I had to see a podiatrist cuz my big toe was going numb. Anyway, I „fixed” it by having to cut that mesh off that’s holding the tongue. Something is still off - I think there was more heel lift or something in the previous models? - but it is at least wearable now that I cut the mesh so I give it 3/5 rather than what would have been an unwearable 1/5

After foot surgery to fuse a joint I have trialled a number of shoes and the 880s are the ones I have landed on. The right amount of rocker and soft but not too soft. The wide toe box helps also. I don't need orthodics in these and they can be used for a wide range of workouts from walking to box jumps.
