New Balance, Tennis Shoes

My husband purchased these because he stands on his feet all day. He has two jobs, they are absolutely perfect. Great if your ankles are a little swollen.

Great Sneakers

My son loves these sneakers. They’re stylish but also very functional.

Price Changed

I bought this pair of shoes 2 years ago. They were $69. My sone has about the same size foot and needed a pair of shoes. He liked those and so we bought the same pair. Same color, size, style … everything was the same… except the price. New Balance charges $99 for the same exact product.

There Have Definitely Been Some Changes...

This shoe doesn't 574 like it used to. This was a go to but now it is hit or miss. For example, the heel cup on these seems to be deconstructed or something because the inside feels like it moves around. The toe box also feels like it was narrowed. Realistically I would give these a 3.5 but I'll round it up to four due to the memories of when this shoe was better.

Poor Arch Support Leading To Discomfort

While these 574s offer the retro grey New Balance look, they do not provide any arch support and unfortunately lead to discomfort in my ankle after walking in them for a short period of time. This has never happened to me with any other shoes I have worn. I've been a fan of New Balance shoes starting with the 247 lately have been starting to rethink whether the brand has comfort in mind when designing their shoes.
