I bought these before a week-long Yosemite family vacation. We did a lot of hiking and these were excellent! Supportive, breathable and grippy on the granite. Highly recommend!

Great Shoes, Disappointing Linings.

Great looking uppers and long lasting soles. This is my third pair of Merrells, having bought two pair of the Moab hikers, and they are the most comfortable shoes I have worn. I am disappointed in how quickly the counter linings have worn in this pair, or I would give them a 5. I glued some leather patches inside to keep wearing them.

Good But Expect Long Break In Period

Bought these for a 390 mile walk on the Camino Portuguese Great arch support and like the breathable fabric especially to keep foot sweat down on long walks. I switched from the Moab 3 Gore Tex which were too heavy for long walks. Break in time was a little longer than I expected and I have an ever so subtle pressure point on the outside edge of my right shoe.

Perfect For Baja, Mexico

I bought these last fall for hiking in Baja, Mexico. They were everything I hoped for. Easy to walk in and the heat of the desert didn't bother them. I bought this recently, and am a long time wearer of Merrill hiking shoes. These are so comfortable, roomy, lightweight, sturdy with strong tread for trail hikes, and a very attractive olive color with beige instead of white on soles.
