Sponges

Provide great support for ankle and feet, a lot of traction on rocks and dirt. They are absolutely not waterproof whatsoever. Also do not breathe well. If you get wet, it’ll feel like sponges.

Perfect Hiking Shoe

This is my third set in 10 years and Merrell Moab 3 Mid has not changed their winning formula for making a great boot. I went with tan this time in 10.5 because my feet grew half a size and had to donate my 2nd pair to my nephew. The first two never wore out and I use them as daily shoes. I live in the country but I’m in town as much as the woods. I would say these boots are comfortable little break in period and ready to go for your adventure right out of the box. Buy them you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic Boots - 5 Stars

My goal was backpacking boots with a wide toe box, super grip, and flexible. I completed a hike up the John Muir Trail and up Half Dome cables two weeks ago. Boots were very grippy on the granite surfaces and conformed well to curved large rocks - exactly what I wanted. After a few trips up the cables, I can say the most important things for safety are good boots and good gloves, and these boots were fantastic.

Size Runs Very Small

I have been wearing Moabs for years, but a couple months ago I bought the Moab Mid Waterproof and the size is small. I never had problems in the past with the Moab, Moab Mid, and the Moab Gortex. I wear a size 15 and Moab Mid Waterproof feels like a size 14. I will not get these again.

Waste Of Money.

Bought these because it said that they are waterproof. 5 minutes in a medium rain and both feet are wet. Don't waste your money. Buy a waterproof boot from a company that knows what the word waterproof means. These guys obviously don't

Very Nice Boot But Not Waterproof

The boot is great in every respect except being waterproof. It's not even close. A 5 minute walk through dew covered grass and my socks are wet. I've worn my pair for several years and they've lasted well, but the waterproof feature has been an issue since I purchased them.

Ordered arr’d on Friday, Dave liked them all, BUT LOVES the Moab 3 Mid WP Width. It was like watching a Li’l boy on Christmas morning.🤣 Dave selected this pair for… his words, ‘Amazing / Perfect Fit, Incredible Comfort, Ankle Pivot is Perfect for work’. Overall support and especially how snug from toe to heel, surfboards he calls ‘feet’, felt AMAZINGLY comfortable, like walking on pillows, during his initial walk thru the house and looks fwd to testing these shoes at work. This style chk’d off ALL the boxes, required as a CDL B Truck driver and will purchase a backup pair. Update follow.
